Godox X2T-O TTL Wireless Flash Trigger
Instruction Manual
Foreword
Thank you for purchasing the Godox X2T-O wireless flash trigger. This wireless flash trigger is suitable for using Olympus & Panasonic cameras to control Godox flashes with the X system, such as camera flashes, outdoor flashes, and studio flashes. Featuring multi-channel triggering, stable signal transmission, and sensitive reaction, it provides photographers with unparalleled flexibility and control over their strobist setups. The flash trigger applies to hotshoe-mounted Olympus & Panasonic series cameras, as well as cameras with PC sync sockets. With the X2T-O wireless flash trigger, high-speed synchronization is available for most camera flashes on the market that support TTL. The maximum flash synchronization speed is up to 1/8000s*.
*1/8000s is achievable when the camera has a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000s.

Battery Indication
Check the battery level indication on the LCD panel to see the remaining battery level during usage.
Battery Level Indication | Meaning |
---|---|
3 grids | Full |
2 grids | Middle |
1 grid | Low |
Blank grid | Low battery, please replace it. |
Blinking | < 2.5V. The battery level is going to be used out immediately (please replace new batteries, as low power leads to no flash or flash missing in case of long distance). |
Note: The battery indication only refers to AA alkaline batteries. As the voltage of Ni-MH batteries tends to be low, please do not refer to this chart.
Setting the Flash Trigger
Power Switch
Slide the Power Switch to ON. The device is on, and the status indicator lamp will not reveal. Note: To avoid power consumption, turn off the transmitter when not in use.
Automatically Enter Power Saving Mode
1. The system automatically enters standby mode after 60 seconds of inactivity. The LCD panel displays disappear.
2. Press any button to wake up. If the flash trigger is attached to the hot shoe of an Olympus or Panasonic camera, half-pressing the camera shutter can also wake the system.
Note: To disable power saving mode, press the <MENU> button, enter C.Fn custom settings, and set STBY to OFF.
Power Switch of AF Assist Beam
Slide the AF-assist beam switch to ON to allow AF lighting output. The AF assist beam will be lit when the flash trigger is attached to the camera and will turn off during camera firing.
Channel Setting
1. Short press the <MENU> button and select CH to set the channel value.
2. Turn the select dial to choose the appropriate channel. The channel value is confirmed after exiting the menu.
3. The trigger has 32 channels (1-32). Set the transmitter and receiver to the same channel before use.
Wireless ID Settings
Change wireless channels and Wireless ID to avoid interference. Triggering only occurs when the wireless IDs and channels of the master and slave units match.
Press the <MENU> button to enter C.Fn ID. Press the <SET> button to choose OFF for channel expansion shutdown, or select a figure from 01 to 99.
Note: This function is only usable if the slave units support wireless ID settings. If not, set the ID to OFF.
Mode Setting
1. After selecting a group button, press the <MODE> button to cycle through modes (TTL/M/--). The mode for the selected group will change.
2. In normal operation, press the <MODE> button to switch to MULTI mode. Press a group selection button, then press <MODE> to toggle MULTI mode ON or OFF.
Output Value Settings
In M mode:
1. Select a group using the group button. Turn the select dial to adjust the power output value from Min. to 1/1 in 0.3 stop increments. Press <SET> to confirm.
2. Press the <ALL> button to select all groups. Turn the select dial to adjust all groups' power output from Min. to 1/1 in 0.3 stop increments. Press <ALL> again to confirm.
Note: Min. refers to the minimum settable value in M or Multi mode. The minimum value can be 1/128 (0.3), 1/256 (0.3), 1/128 (0.1), 1/256 (0.1), 3.0 (0.1), or 2.0 (0.1) based on C.Fn-Min settings. For most camera flashes, the minimum output is 1/128 and cannot be set to 1/256. However, it can be set to 1/256 when used with Godox high-power flashes like the AD600.
Flash Exposure Compensation Settings
In TTL mode:
Select a group using the group button. Turn the select dial to adjust the FEC value from -3 to +3 in 0.3 stop increments. Press <SET> to confirm.
Multi Flash Settings (Output Value, Times and Frequency)

Attentions
1. Unable to trigger flash or camera shutter: Ensure batteries are installed correctly and the Power Switch is ON. Check if the transmitter and receiver are on the same channel, if the hotshoe mount or connection cable is properly connected, and if the flash triggers are in the correct mode.
2. Camera shoots but does not focus: Check if the camera or lens focus mode is set to MF. If so, set it to AF.
3. Signal disturbance or shooting interference: Change the channel on the device.
4. Limited operating distance or flash missing: Check if batteries are exhausted. If so, replace them.
The Reason & Solution of Not Triggering in Godox 2.4G Wireless
1. Disturbance by 2.4G signal in the environment (e.g., wireless base stations, 2.4G Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth): Adjust the flash trigger's channel (add 10+ channels) to an undisturbed channel, or turn off other 2.4G equipment.
2. Ensure flash has finished recycling or caught up with continuous shooting speed (flash ready indicator is lit) and is not in overheat protection or abnormal state: Reduce flash power output. If in TTL mode, try switching to M mode (requires a pre-flash in TTL mode).
3. Distance between flash trigger and flash is too close or too far: Turn on "close distance wireless mode" on the flash trigger (for distances < 0.5m). Set C.Fn-DIST to 0-30m.
4. Low battery status for flash trigger and receiver: Replace batteries (1.5V disposable alkaline batteries are recommended).
Caring for Flash Trigger
- Avoid sudden drops. The device may fail to work after strong shocks, impacts, or excess stress.
- Keep dry. The product is not waterproof. Malfunction, rust, and corrosion may occur and become irreparable if soaked in water or exposed to high humidity.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes. Condensation can occur from sudden temperature changes (e.g., taking the transceiver from a warm building into the cold outdoors in winter). Place the transceiver in a handbag or plastic bag beforehand.
- Keep away from strong magnetic fields. Strong static or magnetic fields from devices like radio transmitters can cause malfunctions.
