User Guide
I. Part Names
The DPM-3P features several components for operation and control. Figures 1, 2, and 3 illustrate these parts.
Figure 1: Front Panel
The front panel provides access to the device's primary controls and indicators.
- 1. LCD Display Screen: Shows track information, status, and menu options.
- 2. Remote Control Port: For connecting a remote control unit.
- 3. Control Panel: Contains the main operational buttons.
- 4. Volume Knob: Adjusts the audio output volume.
- 5. SD Card Slot: For inserting SDHC memory cards.
- 6. USB Port: For connecting USB storage devices.
- 7. POWER Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- 8. SOURCE Mode Button: Selects the media source (USB or SD card).

- 9. FOLDER Selection Button: Navigates through folders on the media.
- 10. PLAY/PAUSE Button [▶️ / ⏸️]: Starts or pauses playback.
- 11. RECORD Button [?]: Initiates recording.
- 12. STOP Button [⏹️]: Stops playback or recording.
- 13. REC PLAY Button [▶️]: Plays back recorded tracks.
- 14. REPEAT Button: Sets repeat playback modes.
- 15. SPEED Button: Adjusts playback speed.
- 16. SKIP Buttons: REV [⏪] (Rewind) and F.WD [⏩] (Fast Forward) to navigate tracks. Long press for fast seeking.

The LCD screen displays various operational indicators and information:
- Indicators: MEMO, REP1, ALL, F, RAN, PROG, ST, RDS, AF, TA, TP, EON, SLEEP.
- Function Indicators: A→B (for pinpoint repeat), M3 (for MP3 playback), CD.
- Playback Status: Displays playback indicators like [▶️] (Play) and [⏸️] (Pause).
- Track/Folder Information: Shows current track and folder numbers (e.g., "001-01:03").
- Channel Indicator: CH.
II. Operating Instructions
1. Media Slots
The DPM-3P supports USB drives and SD cards for media playback and recording.
- (A) USB Disk: Insert a USB 2.0 drive containing MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, WAV, M4A, AAC, or OGG files.
- (B) SD Card Reader: Insert an SDHC card with the gold contacts facing up and the label facing down. Press the card again to eject it.
- (C) Formatting: It is recommended to format USB and SD cards to the FAT standard before use.
- (D) Source Selection: Press the SOURCE Mode button [SOURCE] to choose between USB or SD card as the playback source. The USB source is prioritized if both are inserted.
- (E) NO DISK: This message appears on the display if the unit cannot detect or read the inserted media source.
2. Music Playback
- (A) Playback: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button [▶️ / ⏸️] to start playback. The track information will be displayed.
- (B) Pause/Resume: Press PLAY/PAUSE [▶️ / ⏸️] again during playback to pause (indicated by [⏸️]). Press it again to resume playback.
- (C) Stop: Press the STOP button [⏹️] to stop playback.
- (D) MP3 Indicator: "M3" is displayed when an MP3 file is playing.
- (E) Repeat Tracks:
- "REP 1": Repeats the current track.
- "F": Repeats all tracks within the current folder.
- "ALL": Repeats all tracks from all folders.
- When the repeat function is stopped, the "REP" indicator disappears.
- (F) SPEED: Adjusts the playback speed. Options include LOW (decreased speed), NOR (normal speed), and HIGH (increased speed). The speed can be adjusted in 10 different steps.
3. Order of Playing Music
- (A) Sequential Copying: To ensure a specific playback order, copy desired songs into the USB storage unit one by one. The play sequence will follow the order of copying.
- (B) Folder Organization: For better organization, copy songs into folders. Number the songs sequentially within each folder using a consistent numbering format (e.g., 00, 01, 02 or 000, 001, 0002). Then, copy these folders to the USB storage unit.
4. Record Tracks
- (A) Recording Process: To record input signals to a USB or SD Card, insert the media and select the intended Source. Press the RECORD button [?]. The display will show "WAIT REC" until "STANDBY" flashes. Press the RECORD button [?] again to start the recording. Press RECORD [?] to pause and again to resume. Press STOP [⏹️] to stop recording. The recording is automatically converted to MP3 format (44.1KHz 128Kbps) and saved in the "REC" folder.
- (B) File Format: Recordings are saved in MP3 format (44.1KHz 128Kbps) and can be stored on a USB or SD Card.
- (C) Play Recorded Track: Press the REC PLAY button [▶️] to play the most recently recorded track.
III. Remote Controller Controls
Figure 5 shows the layout and functions of the remote controller.
- a. ON/OFF Button [?]: Powers the unit on or off.
- b. Numeral 0-9: Numeric keys used for direct track selection.
- c. Mute Button [?]: Mutes or unmutes the audio output.
- d. Folder Button [?]: Navigates between folders on the storage media.
- e. Pinpoint A→B: Sets start (A) and end (B) points for repeat playback.
- f. DEL Button: Deletes selected tracks during playback.
- g. Source Button [SOURCE]: Selects the input source (USB/SD).
- h. Record Button [REC ?]: Initiates recording.
- i. Record Play Button [REC PLAY ▶️]: Plays back recorded tracks.
- j. Repeat Button [REPEAT]: Configures repeat playback modes (current track, folder, all).
- k. Play/Pause Button [▶️ / ⏸️]: Controls playback start, pause, and resume.
- l. Stop Button [⏹️]: Stops playback or recording.
- m. Next Button [⏩]: Skips to the next track.
- n. Last Button [⏪]: Skips to the previous track.
- o. Program: This function is noted as non-functioning.
- p. Random Button: Activates random playback of tracks.
- q. Speed Button [SPEED]: Adjusts playback speed.
IV. Remote Controller Functions
- MUTE: Press the MUTE button to mute the audio. Press it again to restore the sound.
- Pinpoint Repeat A→B: During playback, press the A→B button to set the start point (A). Press it again to set the end point (B) and begin repeat playback between these two points. Pressing it a third time cancels the function.
- DEL (Delete): To delete a track during playback, select the track and press the DEL button. The LCD will display "DEL FILE". Press the DEL button once more to confirm and delete the track.
- RAN ENTER (Random Play): Press the RAN ENTER button to play tracks in a random sequence. Alternatively, the REV or F.WD buttons on the control panel or remote can be used to navigate randomly.
- Numeric Selection for Tracks: For devices with a large number of tracks, use the remote control's numeric keys to directly access a specific track.
- Example: To select track #134, press the sequence [1], [3], [4].
- Example: To select track #68, press the sequence [6], [8] and hold for approximately 3 seconds.
- Other Functions: For functions not detailed here, please refer to the operating instructions for the main control panel.
V. Note
- Please read this user guide thoroughly before operating the device.
- Avoid striking or dropping the player.
- Do not place the player near strong magnetic fields or electric fields, as this may affect performance.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the player yourself.
