MIPRO CD Player Module User Guide
Models: CDM-2 / MCD-707 and CDM-2P / MCD-707P

I. Controls and Functions
This section details the controls and functions of the MIPRO CD Player Module.
Front Panel Controls
- [1] POWER: Press once to power on (LCD on). Press again to power off (LCD off).
- [2] LCD DISPLAY: Displays CD status including track number and playing time.
- [3] REPEAT: Repeatedly play the single track or all of the tracks.
- [4] STOP/EJECT: Press once to stop CD playing. Press one more time to eject the CD.
- [5] PREV. (⏪): Press PREV. once to go to the previous track. Press and hold to fast backward.
- [6] NEXT (⏩): Press NEXT once to go to the next track. Press and hold to fast forward.
- [7] LEVEL: Volume level control (rotate clockwise to increase volume; counterclockwise to reduce volume).
- [8] CD/USB/BT: Selects playback source: CD, USB, or Bluetooth (BT). If CD & USB are not available, BT is the only option.
- [9] FOLDER: Press for next folder.
- [10] PLAY/PAUSE (▶️/⏸️): Press the button once to start playing. Press again during playback to pause, and again to resume playing.
- [11] SHUFFLE (?): Press for shuffle (random) track play.
- [12] DISC LOADING SLOT: Insert the audio disc (label side up) into the slot. The CD will be loaded automatically.
- [13] USB Port (Type A): Accepts USB mass-storage devices.
- [14] Remote control port: Aim the remote control towards this section for remote operation.
Bluetooth Operation
- Select BT from the CD/USB/BT options. The word "BLUE" will display and flash intermittently on the LCD screen.
- Search for Bluetooth devices on your smartphone, tablet, or MP3 player. The device ID is "BLUE". Click on the device ID.
- If prompted, enter "0000" as the PIN number to pair your wireless device with the music player.
- Once paired successfully, the word "BLUE" will stop flashing and remain steady.
- The Bluetooth Music Player is now connected and ready to play music.
- Bluetooth functions can be controlled remotely using the PLAY/PAUSE, PREV, and NEXT buttons.
- Note: The effective range is up to 5 meters (15 feet) line-of-sight. If the connection is lost for more than 10 seconds due to signal obstruction, re-pairing may be necessary.
Reading the Display Screen
The LCD display provides status information:
- MP3: Text "MP3" appears when playing MP3 files.
- CD: Text "CD" appears when playing a CD.
- ▶️: Current track is playing.
- ⏸️: Current track is paused.
- REPEAT 1: Repeating the current track.
- REPEAT ALL: Repeating all tracks.
- REPEAT FOLDER: Repeats the current folder (for MP3 and other formats with folders).
- RANDOM: The LCD shows "D" and flashes when the RANDOM function is active.
- SHUFFLE: The LCD shows "SHUFFLE" and flashes when the SHUFFLE function is active.
- A→B: Repeat playing between points A and B.
- Folder Numbers (e.g., 88): Displays folder numbers.
- Total Folders/Tracks (e.g., 888): Displays the total number of folders and tracks. The LCD shows the folder number first, then the specific track number.
- Elapsed Time (e.g., 01:02:04:03): Displays the elapsed time.
II. Remote Controller Controls and Functions
The remote control allows for wireless operation of the CD Player Module.
Remote Buttons
- a ON/OFF: Load and Eject Disk.
- b MODE/SOURCE: Mode selection: CD→USB→BT options. CD\USB\BT play options. (If CD & USB have no such function, BT is the only option).
- c Confirmation: Press for confirmation to any remote command.
- d Stop (⏹️): Stop playing.
- e Play/Pause (▶️/⏸️): Play and pause playing the disk.
- f Last (⏪): Skip to the previous track.
- g Next (⏩): To the next track.
- h Random (?): Random play. Press RAN and then use navigation buttons to choose tracks at random.
- i Repeat (?): Repeated play on each mode.
- j PITCH speed: Allows track to increase (HI) or decrease (LO) speed in ten steps. NOR denotes normal speed.
- k Numeral 0-9: Select numerals.
- l Folder: Repeat folder. Pressing FOLDER changes to the next folder number.
- m Fast forward (⏩⏩): Press once to activate fast forward. Press ▶️/⏸️ to resume normal play.
- n Fast backward (⏪⏪): Press once to activate fast backward. Press ▶️/⏸️ to resume normal play.
- o Pinpoint Repeat (A→B): Pinpoint repeat playing between A and B.
Repeat Function Details
- For CD formats: Pressing REPEAT once shows "REPEAT 1" (repeat current track). Pressing REPEAT twice shows "REPEAT ALL" (repeat all tracks). Pressing REPEAT three times displays "CANCEL".
- For MP3 and compatible CDs: Pressing REPEAT once shows "REPEAT 1" (repeat current track). Pressing REPEAT twice shows "REPEAT" (repeat all tracks within the current folder). Pressing REPEAT three times shows "REPEAT ALL" (repeat all available tracks). Pressing REPEAT four times displays "CANCEL".
Battery Installation of the Remote Control
Follow these steps to install or replace the remote control battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the remote control.
- Press and hold the tenon, then slide out the battery tray.
- Remove the old battery and insert the new CR2025 3V lithium battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing upwards.
- Slide the battery tray back into the remote control until it clicks.
Note: The effective transmission range is 3-5 meters.
III. Playing Audio Disc
This section outlines how to play audio from discs and USB devices.
- The player accepts WMA, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 disks, and USB reader playback.
- Insert a disc into the disc slot with the playback side down; playback starts automatically. The track number and playing time will be displayed.
- Use the PREV. (⏪) and NEXT (⏩) buttons on the front panel or remote control to select the desired track.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE (▶️/⏸️) button on the front panel or remote control to begin playing or pause the track.
- Use the STOP (⏹️) button on the front panel or remote control to stop playback.
- Use the EJECT (⏏️) button on the front panel or remote control to eject the CD. Pressing it again will take the CD back into the slot.
- The fast forward (⏩⏩) and fast backward (⏪⏪) buttons on the remote control can be used to quickly move through tracks.
- To select folders in MP3 format, press the FOLDER button on the remote control and then use the numeral buttons to select the desired track within that folder.
- USB Playback Options:
- Format USB storage before playback. Standard format is FAT.
- Copy desired songs one by one to the USB storage unit. The play sequence will be based on the order of copying.
- If songs are divided into folders, number them sequentially (e.g., 00, 01, 02 or 000, 001, 0002...) before copying into folders, then copy the folders to the USB storage unit.
- Note: When inserting or removing a disc, allow the player to complete the automatic process. Do not force or manually pull the disc, as this can damage the player.
IV. Rear Panel Wiring Connection
Diagrams show the rear panel connections for different configurations.
2-Wire Connection
- 1 Power input: Connects the power supply.
- 2 Audio Output Connector Balanced: Provides balanced audio output.

Disposal
Dispose of any unusable devices or batteries responsibly and in accordance with any applicable regulations.
Disposing of used batteries with domestic waste is to be avoided! Batteries / NiCad cells often contain heavy metals such as cadmium(Cd), mercury(Hg) and lead(Pb) that makes them unsuitable for disposal with domestic waste. You may return spent batteries/accumulators free of charge to recycling centres or anywhere else batteries/accumulators are sold.
