IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Caution: This oven gets hot. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when touching any outer or inner surface of the oven. Never leave the oven unattended when in operation. If food ignition occurs, unplug the unit but DO NOT open the door. Keep the oven interior clean and free of residues to reduce fire risk. A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable materials (curtains, draperies, walls, etc.) when in operation or hot. Do not place paper, cardboard, plastic, or similar materials in or on the oven.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:

  • Read all instructions.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid to protect against electrical shock.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions or has been damaged. Return to an authorized service facility.
  • Use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then remove the plug.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
  • Use extreme caution when removing the tray or disposing of hot grease.
  • Do not clean with metal scouring pads, as pieces can break off and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted into the toaster oven, as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • To switch off the appliance, turn the Toast/Timer knob to the "OFF" position.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

Grounding and Electrical Cord Information

Grounded Plug: This product is equipped with a grounded plug for safety. Do not attempt to defeat this feature. Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about outlet grounding.

Tamper-Resistant Screw: The outer cover is secured with a tamper-resistant screw. Do not attempt to remove the outer cover, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repairs should only be done by authorized service personnel.

Electrical Cord: A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce entanglement risk. Longer detachable cords or extension cords may be used if care is exercised, ensuring the cord's electrical rating is at least equal to the appliance's, and it's a grounding-type 3-wire cord if the appliance is grounded. The longer cord should be arranged to prevent tripping hazards.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel.

  • Remove all packing material and stickers.
  • Wash all removable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING.

How to Use

This product is for household use only.

TOAST FUNCTION

Preheating is not necessary for toasting.

  1. Set the temperature selector knob to the Bagel/Toast position and the function selector knob to Toast or Bagel.
  2. Open the oven door.
  3. Insert the slide rack.
  4. Place bread or bagel pieces directly on the slide rack and close the door.
  5. Turn the toast shade selector knob past 10 and then back to the desired toast shade. Note: The toast shade selector must be set for toasting to begin.
  6. For best results on the first toasting cycle, set the toast selector knob to medium (midway between light and dark), then re-adjust for subsequent cycles to suit your preference.
  7. The on indicator light illuminates and remains on until the toasting cycle is complete.
  8. When the toast cycle is complete, an audible signal will sound, and the oven and indicator light will turn off.
  9. Open the oven door. Using oven mitts or pot holders, slide the rack out to remove the toast.
  10. Unplug the appliance when not in use.

BAKE FUNCTION

Note: For best results, preheat the oven for at least 10 minutes at the desired temperature setting when baking or cooking.

  1. Set the temperature control dial to the desired setting (150°F to 450°F). Set the cooking function selector knob to BAKE.
  2. Turn the time selector knob past 10 and then turn back or forward to the desired baking time, including preheat time. (Select STAY ON to bake longer than 30 minutes or to control cooking time manually. Use a kitchen timer if needed.)
  3. The indicator light comes on and remains lit during the entire baking time.
  4. The heating elements will cycle on and off to maintain even heat distribution.
  5. Once the oven has preheated, open the oven door, insert food, and close the door.
  6. Check for doneness at the minimum suggested cooking time. When the oven timer is used, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will turn off.
  7. If not using the oven timer, turn the oven to OFF once the cooking cycle is complete.
  8. Open the oven door. Using oven mitts or pot holders, slide the rack out to remove the cooked food.
  9. Unplug the appliance when not in use.

BROIL FUNCTION

Note: Preheat the oven for 10 minutes when broiling.

  1. Turn the temperature selector to 450°F/BROIL. Turn the cooking function knob to BROIL.
  2. Open the oven door and insert the bake pan (as a drip tray) under the slide rack on the rack support rails.
  3. Set the timer to the desired number of minutes, including preheat time, or select STAY ON if you want to control cooking time or need to cook food longer than 30 minutes.
  4. Place food on the baking pan slide rack/broiling rack. Note: Ensure the top edge of the food or container is at least 1½ inches (3.81 cm) away from the upper heating elements.
  5. Cook food according to recipe or package instructions and check at the minimum time to see if it is done. Important: Food should not extend beyond the edges of the bake pan/drip tray to avoid drippings falling onto the heating elements.
  6. When finished broiling, the signal bell sounds. Turn the TOAST/TIMER selector to the OFF position. The power indicator light goes off.
  7. Using an oven mitt or pot holder, slide out the broiling rack together with the bake pan to remove food.

  2. Turn the cooking function selector to KEEP WARM. Note: This feature is designed to keep already cooked foods warm for short periods. To prevent food from drying out, cover with foil.
  3. When the cycle is complete, an audible signal will sound, and the oven and indicator light will go off.
  4. If not using the oven timer, turn the oven to Off once the warming cycle is complete.
  5. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
