This manual explains how to use the Epson Classroom Connect application. Please read the following sections carefully to understand the meaning of icons used in this manual.

Epson Classroom Connect Features
Epson Classroom Connect allows you to perform a variety of practical operations smoothly in the classroom, such as projecting images from a projector connected to your device.
Intuitive User Experience
With Epson Classroom Connect, you can perform a series of operations in simple steps. You can also easily connect devices to the projector and project images.
Note:
- To mirror your device's screen, you need to install the Chrome extension "Epson Classroom Connect Extension".
- You can also output the audio of the current projected screen using the projector's mirroring function.
Easily Save Drawing Data
After saving the data you drew during class, you can review it later or share it as classroom materials with students. Since the drawing data is saved on your device, you can easily reuse classroom data.

Smooth Connection to Projector
You can connect to the projector using the connection code, IP address, or QR code displayed on the projector screen. To connect to the same projector, you can easily connect via the connection history displayed in Epson Classroom Connect.

Initial Application Setup
Follow these instructions before connecting your computer to the projector via the network.

Install Application
Follow the instructions below to install the Epson Classroom Connect application on Google Play.
- Ensure you install the latest version of the application on Google Play.
- Update the application as needed after installation to ensure it is the latest version.
- Update your Chromebook's operating system to the latest version.
Steps:
- Turn on your computer. Ensure you are logged in with the account you will use for this application.
- If necessary, install the Google Play Store application.
- Find and install the Epson Classroom Connect application in Google Play.
- Install the Chrome extension "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" from the Chrome Web Store.
To share your screen with the projector, you need to install the Chrome extension "Epson Classroom Connect Extension".

Epson Classroom Connect Requirements
Your computer must meet the following system requirements to use Epson Classroom Connect.

Install Epson Classroom Connect Application
Follow the instructions below to install the Epson Classroom Connect application on your computer.
Selecting Projector Network Settings
If you have not yet set up network settings for the projector, you need to set them up before using Epson Classroom Connect. Follow these instructions to select the connection method between your computer and the projector, and then set up the projector.

Setting up the projector when connecting via Wireless LAN
To connect your computer to the projector via Wireless LAN, you need to select network settings on both your computer and the projector. The necessary settings vary depending on the projector. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Contact your network administrator and note down the access point settings, such as SSID and security settings.
- Perform network settings to connect your computer to the network. If network connection setup is required, refer to the documentation included with your computer or network adapter. Refer to your computer's user manual for details.
- If necessary, install the Wireless LAN unit in the projector. Refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Press the [Menu] button on the remote control or operation panel, and select the network menu.
- Turn on Wireless LAN.
- Turn off the Access Point mode. The necessary settings vary depending on the projector. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions. You may be able to connect even if Access Point mode is on, depending on your computer.
- Select other options as needed based on your network. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Set security settings. Consult your network administrator to determine the correct settings. To enable the save function, set the projector's Web Control password.
- After completing the settings, save the settings and exit the menu.
Setting up the projector when connecting via Wired LAN
To connect your computer to the projector via Wired LAN, you need to select network settings on both your computer and the projector. The necessary settings vary depending on the projector. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Perform network settings to connect your computer to the network. If network connection setup is required, refer to the documentation included with your computer or network adapter. Refer to your computer's user manual for details.
- Connect the network cable to the projector.
- Turn on the projector.
- Press the [Menu] button on the remote control or operation panel, and select the network menu.
- Set DHCP to Off. Enter the projector's IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address values as needed.
- After completing the settings, save the settings and exit the menu.
Connecting to the Projector and Projecting Images
Follow these instructions to connect your computer to the projector via the network and project your computer's screen onto the projector.

First-time Connection to Epson Classroom Connect
When using Epson Classroom Connect for the first time, connect it to your projector using one of the following methods:
- Connect using the connection code.
- Connect using the IP address.
- Connect using the QR code.
Notes:
- If you repeatedly enter the wrong connection code 10 times, the screen will lock. Please try again later.
- To share your screen with the projector, you need to install the Chrome extension "Epson Classroom Connect Extension". If necessary, install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" from the Chrome Web Store.

Connecting to the Projector Using a Connection Code
You can connect to the projector by entering the connection code displayed on the projector in Epson Classroom Connect.
- Turn on the projector.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- Press the Home button on the projector's remote control to display the home screen.

Step 4: Enter the four or six-digit number displayed on the projector's home screen, then press Connect.
Step 5: When the Chrome OS screen confirming the start of screen sharing is displayed, press Share. To output audio, enable audio when sharing the screen.

Connecting to the Projector Using an IP Address
If you cannot connect using the connection code, or if you want to connect to a projector on a different network, enter the IP address displayed on the projector's screen in Epson Classroom Connect.
If the projector keyword is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the keyword when connecting via IP address or connection history. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- Press the Home button on the projector's remote control to display the home screen.
- Press "Try other methods" on the Epson Classroom Connect screen, then select "Connect using IP Address" to display the IP address input screen.

Step 5: Enter one of the IP addresses displayed on the projector's home screen, then press Connect.
Step 6: When the Chrome OS screen confirming the start of screen sharing is displayed, press Share. To output audio, enable audio when sharing the screen.

Connecting to the Projector by Reading a QR Code
If you cannot connect using the connection code, or if you want to connect to a projector on a different network, you can read the QR code displayed on the projector using Epson Classroom Connect.
- Turn on the projector.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- Press the Home button on the projector's remote control to display the home screen.
- Select LAN as the input source to display it on the projector's home screen. The QR code can also be displayed on the projector's guide screen.
- Press "Try other methods" on the Epson Classroom Connect screen, then select "Connect using QR Code" to display the QR code input screen.

Connecting to the Projector via Connection History
To connect to a projector you have previously connected to, you can use the connection history displayed in Epson Classroom Connect.
If the projector keyword is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the keyword when connecting via IP address or connection history. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- Select the projector you want to connect to from the connection history.

Step 5: When the Chrome OS screen confirming the start of screen sharing is displayed, press Share. To output audio, enable audio when sharing the screen.

Controlling Projector Display
You can control the projected image using the toolbar.

Interactive Functions
You can use the interactive pen or your finger to annotate on the projected screen. Please refer to your projector's user manual for related instructions.
Icons are shown for: 1. Save Drawing Data, 2. Switch to Drawing Mode, 3. Switch to Computer Interaction Mode.
- Save Drawing Data: Saves the drawing data.
- Switch to Drawing Mode: Sets the annotation mode or whiteboard mode to "On". You can then write or draw on the projected surface.
- Switch to Computer Interaction Mode: When set to "On", you can use the interactive pen or finger to control the computer. The Epson Classroom Connect application displays a button to switch to computer interaction mode, but you cannot operate the computer on the projected screen using the interactive pen or finger.

Creating a Projector Nickname
After connecting, you can assign a unique name (nickname) to the projector and manage it.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- Select the projector you want to set a nickname for from the connection history.

Fixing Frequent Connection Environments
You can fix the connection environment of frequently used projectors and set their display positions.
- Start Epson Classroom Connect.
- In the connection history, select the projector whose position you want to fix, and then click the pin icon. The pin icon turns yellow-green when the setup is complete.
You can fix up to 4 projectors.

Saving Drawing Data
Press the "Save" button displayed on the projector screen to save the drawing data to your device. Each time you press the "Save" button on the projector screen, the projected screen image is saved as an image. When the projector connection is completed, or after pressing the "Save" button 10 times, Epson Classroom Connect creates a .pptx file containing all saved images up to that point, which can be found in the download folder.
If Epson Classroom Connect fails to create the .pptx file due to a forced shutdown or other reasons, it will create the .pptx file the next time the application is launched.

Solution for Unable to Connect to Internet After Connecting to Projector
When connecting to the projector in Access Point mode, you may not be able to connect to the Internet. Ensure the projector is connected to a wired LAN or a wireless LAN access point.

Solution for Unable to Connect Using Connection Code
If you cannot connect using the connection code, try one of the following solutions:
- Enter the IP address in the Epson Classroom Connect application and connect. Enter one of the IP addresses displayed on the projector's home screen.
- Connect by scanning the QR code in the Epson Classroom Connect application. Connect by scanning the QR code displayed on the projector's LAN screen.

Solution for Unsmooth Projection Image Movement
If the projected image is static or does not move smoothly, try the following solutions:
- Select the bandwidth to use from the settings.
- Connect the computer and projector using a LAN cable.

Solution for Abnormal Audio Playback
If the projector's audio output is interrupted or there is significant delay between the projected image and audio, adjust the projector's "A/V Sync" setting. Refer to the projector's Projector Manual Update Information or user manual for details.

Connection Screen
When you start Epson Classroom Connect, the connection selection screen is displayed.

Element Descriptions:
- Open Settings Screen: Click the gear icon on the connection screen to display the settings screen. You can change settings without connecting to the projector.
- Connection Code: Enter the connection code displayed on the projector's home screen (four or six digits).
- Try other methods: If connecting with the connection code fails, you can select other connection methods.
- Save Location Folder: Specify the folder name for saving drawing data. The save folder will be created in your computer's Downloads folder.
- Connection History: Displays previously connected projectors.
- Share Screen: Start sharing the screen with the connected projector.
- Disconnect: If this button is pressed while connected to the projector, the connection will be disconnected.
- Enter Nickname: Enter a nickname to manage the projector.
- Fix Projector: You can fix frequently used projectors to the top of the connection history. Click "Fix" again to unfix. You can fix up to four projectors.

Connecting to the Projector Using Other Methods
If connecting to the projector using the connection code fails, select other connection methods from this screen.
If you cannot connect using the connection code, try the following methods:
Connect using IP Address: Enter one of the IP addresses displayed on the projector's home screen (wired or wireless) and connect to the projector.
Connect using QR Code: Connect by scanning the QR code displayed on the projector's LAN screen. The QR code can also be displayed on the projector's guide screen.

Settings Screen
Click the gear icon on the connection screen to display the settings screen. You can change settings without connecting to the projector.
Settings:
- Usage Survey: Enable this setting to allow Epson to obtain application usage information.
- Bandwidth Usage: Controls the bandwidth for data transmission. Selecting narrower bandwidth may reduce projected image quality but decreases network load.
- Auto Share Screen: Enable this setting to share the device's screen after it is connected to the projector.
- Display Connection History: Switch between displaying and hiding the connection history of previously connected projectors.
- Version Information: Displays Epson Classroom Connect version information.

Uninstalling Epson Classroom Connect
Follow the instructions below to uninstall Epson Classroom Connect.
- Turn on your computer.
- Select the Start menu icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Right-click on Epson Classroom Connect. On a tablet, tap the application with two fingers.
- Select Uninstall.

Connection Restrictions
Please note the following restrictions when using Epson Classroom Connect.
- If the wireless LAN transmission speed is low, the network may disconnect unexpectedly.
- Sometimes the computer screen image may not exactly match the image projected by the projector.
- Video playback may not be as smooth as playback on a computer.
Chromebook Restrictions
Depending on your operating system, you may encounter the following restrictions when using the Epson Classroom Connect application on a Chromebook.
- If you try to start the Epson Classroom Connect application using the sharing function of another application, Epson Classroom Connect may not start, or if it starts, it may not be able to read files correctly.
- Switching between laptop mode and tablet mode during operation is not supported.
- Pop-up messages may not appear.
