TOILET BASE PLATE

Installation Steps

A hand is shown positioning the Oatey toilet base plate over the toilet flange.

1. Shut off water supply.
2. Remove water supply.
3. Unbolt toilet at base and remove toilet carefully.
4. Clean off mounting surface of floor and level surface if necessary.
5. Apply a bead of adhesive around the bottom of toilet base plate approximately 1" from the edge.
6. Place and position toilet base plate on floor surface. Use alignment pegs to help align toilet base plate for straight toilet installation.
7. Mount new toilet in place on top of toilet base plate per manufacturer's instruction. New wax ring and mounting bolts may be required to seal properly.
8. Apply caulk around edge of toilet base plate and toilet base.
9. Clean toilet base plate with a mild soap and water after caulk sets. Do not use solvent based cleaners.
