DocumentDocumentINSTRUCTION GUIDE QUIET PIPES® HAMMER ARRESTOR The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor is equipped with a 1/2" Male Copper Tube Sized (CTS) adapter. You must first install a tee in the water line to accommodate the Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor will sweat/press into a 1/2" copper tee. The Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor can be installed horizontally or vertically. 1 Turn off the water supply to the valve. 2 Cut water line and install a tee. Both ends of the tee must be sweat/press to the pipe. Using Oatey Lead-Free Solder is recommended. 3 Sweat/Press Quiet Pipes® Hammer Arrestor into copper tee. 4 Turn the water on and check for leaks. ©2021 Oatey SCS. All Rights Reserved.
