EKET Cabinet Assembly Instructions
This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA EKET cabinet. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.
Important Safety Information
WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over.
To prevent this furniture from tipping over, it must be permanently fixed to the wall using the wall attachment fittings included in the packaging. If the product is to be hanged on the wall, it must be done with the designated suspension rail (sold separately at IKEA). Assess the wall to ensure that it will withstand the weight. As wall materials vary, screws for wall fixation are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems for your wall, contact your local specialised dealer. Wall fixing/hanging must be carried out by a qualified person, since wrong fixation may cause injury or damage.
The document also contains warnings in multiple languages including German, French, Dutch, Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Czech, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek, Ukrainian, Serbian, Slovenian, Turkish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, and Thai.

Assembly Steps
- Step 1: Prepare Panels
Lay out the main cabinet panels. The diagram shows four rectangular panels, likely the top, bottom, and two sides, with pre-drilled holes indicating connection points.
- Step 2: Insert Dowels and Cam Locks
Insert wooden dowels (Part 108444) into the designated holes on the panels. Screw in the cam lock screws (Parts 139468/155198) into their corresponding holes. The diagram shows a 'Click!' sound indicating secure insertion of cam lock components.
- Step 3: Connect Side Panels to Base
Attach the side panels to the base panel. Insert dowels into the base panel and then connect the side panels, securing them with cam locks (Parts 139467/155197) by turning them to lock.
- Step 4: Assemble Main Frame
Attach the second side panel to the base and the first side panel, using dowels and cam locks to form the basic cabinet structure.
- Step 5: Install Back Panel
Slide the thin back panel into the grooves on the rear edges of the side and base panels. The diagram shows a prohibition symbol (red cross) over an incorrect method of insertion, indicating it should slide in smoothly.
- Step 6: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled cabinet frame and secure it using the provided dowels and cam locks.
- Step 7: Attach Feet
Turn the cabinet upside down. Attach the feet (Parts 10093081/10093082) to the designated points on the bottom panel.
- Step 8: Attach Remaining Feet
Repeat the process to attach the remaining feet to the cabinet.
- Step 9: Review and Confirm Assembly
The diagram shows a person reading the instructions with a question mark, followed by a person holding the assembled cabinet. This step emphasizes checking the assembly and consulting instructions or IKEA if needed.
- Step 10: Prepare Doors for Hinges
Lay the cabinet doors flat. Attach the hinge plates (Part 141413) to the pre-drilled holes on the doors using screws.
- Step 11: Attach Hinge Mounts to Cabinet
Attach the corresponding hinge mounting brackets (Part 152651) to the inside of the cabinet body at the designated positions.
- Step 12: Mount Doors to Cabinet
Align the hinge plates on the doors with the mounting brackets on the cabinet and connect them. The diagram shows how the two parts of the hinge join.
- Step 13: Adjust Doors
Use the adjustment screws on the hinges to align the doors correctly. Arrows indicate the directions for adjustment (up/down, left/right, in/out).
- Step 14: Attach Wall Mounting Hardware to Cabinet
Attach the wall mounting brackets (Part 152651) to the back of the cabinet. The diagram shows a prohibition symbol for incorrect screw usage, emphasizing the need for correct screws.
- Step 15: Attach Wall Mounting Hardware to Wall
Secure the corresponding wall mounting hardware to the wall at the appropriate height. Ensure it is level and securely fastened to the wall structure. (Note: Screws for wall fixation are not included and must be selected based on wall type).
- Step 16: Insert Shelf Supports and Shelves
Insert the shelf supports (Part 131372) into the desired pre-drilled holes inside the cabinet. Place the shelves onto the supports. A prohibition symbol indicates an incorrect way to place the shelf.
- Step 17: Install Additional Shelves
Insert more shelf supports (Part 10119600) and place the remaining shelves.
- Step 18: Attach Door Handles
Attach the door handles (Parts 10119658/10119673) to the doors using the provided screws.
- Step 19: Attach Shelf Support and Screw
Attach a shelf support (Part 101313) and a screw (Part 108444) to a shelf, likely for securing it.
