Introduction
This guide provides comprehensive instructions for operating the EWEADN X99 mechanical keyboard, covering its various connectivity options, key functions, battery management, and important safety information.
Connectivity Options
2.4G Wireless Connection
To connect your EWEADN X99 keyboard using the 2.4G wireless connection:
- Ensure the three-level dip switch on the keyboard is set to the 'up' position.
- Press the
FN + R
key combination to activate 2.4G mode. - Insert the dedicated 2.4G receiver, which is conveniently stored in the keyboard's footrest, into a USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will now be recognized and function normally.
A dedicated 2.4G receiver placement hole is integrated into the keyboard design for secure storage when not in use.
Bluetooth Connectivity
To connect your EWEADN X99 keyboard via Bluetooth:
- Set the three-level dip switch to the 'down' position.
- Select your desired Bluetooth channel by pressing the following key combinations:
FN + O
for Bluetooth Channel 1FN + W
for Bluetooth Channel 2FN + E
for Bluetooth Channel 3
- (Long press the key combination to initiate pairing; short press to switch between paired devices or channels).
- On your computer or device, open Bluetooth settings and search for "EWEADN-X99".
- Once pairing is successful, the corresponding indicator light will turn off, signifying a stable connection.
Wired Connection
For a direct connection, follow these steps:
- Position the three-level dip switch to the 'center' position to enable wired mode.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C interface.
- Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will now operate in wired mode.

Sleep and Battery Management
Sleep Mode Operation:
- In 2.4G or Bluetooth modes, the keyboard will automatically enter standby after 3 minutes of inactivity. After 30 minutes of standby, it will enter sleep mode to conserve power. Any key press will wake the keyboard.
- The keyboard does not enter sleep mode when connected via wire.
Battery Status and Charging:
- Low Battery Warning: A slow flashing of the low voltage indicator light signifies that the battery level is below 10%. If the battery level drops below 5%, all keyboard functions will be disabled to prevent damage.
- Charging Instructions: Use the supplied TYPE-C cable to charge the keyboard by connecting it to a computer's USB port. Please note that fast charging is not supported. The charging indicator light will remain illuminated while charging and will turn off once the battery is fully charged.
- Battery Level Check: To check the current battery level, press and hold the
FN + B
keys simultaneously. The number keys (1 through 0) on the main keyboard area will illuminate to indicate the remaining battery percentage:- Keys 1-3 illuminated red indicate less than 30% battery.
- Keys 1-3 illuminated green indicate more than 30% battery.
