  • Secure the power cord to the cabinet to prevent it from touching hot parts of the oven or hob.
  • Before any work, switch off the power supply and the gas supply.
  • Connect the appliance to the power supply using the earth connection.

Before Installing

  • This appliance is a class 3 appliance according to EN 30-1-1 standard for gas appliances: Built-in appliance.
  • The unit for installation must be stable and secured appropriately.
  • Units, laminated panels, and adhesives nearby must be made of non-flammable, heat-resistant materials.
  • Do not install this appliance above refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, or similar.
  • The appliance must only be installed on an oven with forced ventilation. Check oven dimensions in its installation instructions.
  • If installing an oven underneath the hob, work surface thickness may differ. Refer to oven installation instructions.
  • For exhaust air fans or extractor hoods, refer to their installation instructions and always observe minimum vertical distance to the hob [See Figure 1].

Preparing the Units

  • Make a cut-out in the worktop with required dimensions [See Figure 2].
  • In recesses of 500 mm, install the appliance on the front edge of the recess. Refer to "Positioning the appliance" on Page 5.
  • Any panel closer to the built-in niche than specified clearance must be non-combustible. Maintain at least 5 mm distance between the panel and the appliance. Maximum panel clearances: 30 mm thickness x 70 mm height.
  • Seal cut surfaces of wooden work surfaces with a special glue seal to protect from moisture.

Preparing the Built-in Unit for Standard Installation

  • Use worktops between 20 mm and 50 mm thick.
  • Note: Worktops between 12 mm and 20 mm thick require a spacer, available from technical customer service.

Installation on a Drawer or Cupboard

⚠️ WARNING – Risk of burns! Accessible parts may become hot during operation.

If there is no built-in oven underneath the hob and the underside is accessible, follow these instructions:

  • For gas hobs with wok burner, insert a non-flammable intermediate floor (e.g., metal or plywood) at a 10 mm distance from the hob [See Figure 3].
  • For gas hobs without a wok burner, fitting an intermediate floor is advisable [See Figure 4].
  • In both cases, the distance from the intermediate floor to the mains connection must be at least 10 mm.
  • Separator thickness must allow for respecting distances shown in the figure.

Installation Above an Oven

[See Figure 5]

Positioning the Appliance

  1. Position the hob with the upper side facing down on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Apply the supplied adhesive seal to the lower edge of the hob; this prevents liquid penetration [See Figure 6].
  3. Screw supplied brackets into specified positions so they can turn freely [See Figure 7].
  4. Turn the hob around and insert it into the recess, positioning it at the front of the recess [See Figure 8].
  5. Turn the brackets and tighten them fully [See Figure 9]. Bracket position depends on worktop thickness.

Note: Do not use silicone to bond the appliance to the worktop.

Removing the Appliance

  1. Disconnect the appliance from electricity and gas connections.
  2. Unscrew the brackets and proceed in reverse order.

Connecting the Gas

Observe country-specific guidelines.

? CAUTION – Risk of explosion! Gas leakage may cause an explosion.

  • If any connection is handled, check the seal.
  • Arrange the gas connection so the shut-off valve is accessible.
  • Ensure rating plate information (gas type, pressure) complies with local connection conditions.
  • Connect the appliance to a fixed gas pipe or a flexible metal pipe.
  • The flexible metal pipe must not contact moving parts of the unit (e.g., a drawer) and must not be routed through obstructed spaces.
  • Gas connection on the appliance: G 1/2.

Connection to Gas Cylinder or Liquid Gas Tank

If the flame is large or unstable, check the regulator of the gas cylinder or liquid gas tank is working properly.

Note: An overpressure safety device can be installed to limit or cut off gas supply if the regulator fails.

Spare Parts for Gas Connection

If country regulations allow, obtain gas connection parts from technical customer service [See Figure 10].

Gas Connection R 1/2

Fit the seal and connecting piece R 1/2 to the gas connection on the appliance [See Figure 11].

Gas Connection G 1/2

Insert the seal between the appliance's gas connection and the gas supply [See Figure 12].

Electrical Connection

  • This appliance is Type Y: The connection cable must only be replaced by technical customer service, not the user. Cable type and minimum cross-section must be respected.
  • Hobs are supplied with a power cord with or without a plug.
  • Power cable must only be replaced with a cable from the original manufacturer, available from after-sales service.
  • Do not use extension cables or multiple socket strips.
  • Only connect appliances fitted with a plug to a correctly installed socket with protective earth conductor.
  • Connect the appliance to a fixed installation and set up appropriate isolating switches according to installation regulations [See Figure 13].
  • Wire colors: BN (Brown), BU (Blue), GN/YE (Green and yellow).

Converting the Gas Type

If country regulations allow, this appliance can be adapted to other gas types listed on the rating plate. Find the right parts in the supplied bag or obtain them from customer service. The table [See Figure 17] shows the correct combination for the relevant burner and gas type.

  • C Economy burner
  • D Standard-output burner
  • E High-output burner
  • H Dual-wok multi-crown burner
    • 1 - Outer flame
    • 2 - Inner flame

Adjusting the Taps

  1. Set control elements to minimum power, pull them out. Remove the plinth for control elements.
  2. To access the bypass screw, use the tip of a screwdriver to push down the flexible rubber holder [See Figure 14].

Never remove the sealing ring. Sealing rings prevent liquids and dirt from entering the appliance and impairing its function.

  1. When adjusting bypass screws (M), refer to the table [See Figure 15].
  2. A: Firmly tighten bypass screws.
  3. B: Bypass screws must be flush with the fitting.

Replacing the Nozzles

  1. Remove all pan supports, burner caps, and distributors.
  2. Replace nozzles using the appropriate wrench and tighten carefully to ensure the seal [See Figure 16, See Figure 17].

Ensure the nozzle does not detach during removal or fastening.

Reinstalling the Appliance

Install appliance components in reverse order.

Checking if Equipment is Working

  1. Check that turning the rotary knob between maximum and minimum power positions does not cause the burner to go out or result in backfire.
  2. If gas flow from the burner is incorrect, check the nozzle and bypass screw position in the table [See Figure 17].

Documenting the Gas Type Conversion

Attach the sticker showing the new gas type near the rating plate.
