Installation Instructions
Model: 8001324629 (050813)
General Information
This document provides installation instructions for the gas hob. Always follow safety instructions and read the manual carefully. Images are for guidance only.
Safety Installation
Follow all safety instructions when installing the appliance. Ensure the kitchen is well-ventilated, especially when operating the gas cooking appliance. Do not connect to an exhaust gas system for combustion products. Never install in boats or vehicles. The warranty applies only when the appliance is used as intended. Before installation, verify local supplier conditions match appliance settings (gas type, pressure, power, voltage). Secure the power cord to prevent contact with hot parts. Switch off power and gas supply before any work. Connect the appliance to the power supply using the earth connection. Do not make internal changes; contact technical customer service if needed.
WARNING – Risk of explosion! Escaping gas can cause an explosion. All installation, connection, regulating, and conversion work to a different gas type must be carried out by an authorized professional, adhering to applicable regulations and legal requirements, including those from local electricity and gas suppliers. Pay special attention to ventilation provisions. For gas type conversion, contact after-sales service.
WARNING – Danger: Magnetism!
Caution: Magnetic field
Attention for persons with pacemakers: Permanent magnets are integrated in control element bases and controls. These magnets may affect electronic implants like heart pacemakers or insulin pumps. Persons with electronic implants must maintain a distance of at least 10 cm from magnetic control element bases and controls. Do not carry control element bases or controls on your body.
Before Installing
This appliance is a Class 3 appliance according to EN 30-1-1 standard for gas appliances: Built-in appliance.
The unit where the appliance is installed must be stable and secured appropriately. Units in the vicinity, laminated panels, and adhesives must be non-flammable and heat-resistant.
Do not install above refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, or similar appliances.
The appliance must only be installed on an oven with forced ventilation. Check oven dimensions in its installation instructions.
If installing an oven underneath, work surface thickness may differ from these instructions; refer to the oven's installation manual.
For exhaust air fans or extractor hoods, refer to their installation instructions and always observe the minimum vertical distance to the hob [arrow pointing up].
Preparing the Units
Make a cut-out in the worktop with the required dimensions [diagram showing cut-out dimensions].
Any panel closer to the built-in niche than the specified clearance must be non-combustible. Maintain at least 5 mm distance between the panel and the appliance. Maximum panel clearances: 30 mm thickness x 70 mm height.
Seal cut surfaces of wooden work surfaces with special glue to protect from moisture.
Preparing the Built-in Unit for Standard Installation (a)
Use worktops between 20 mm and 50 mm thick. For worktops between 12 mm and 20 mm thick, use a spacer available from technical customer service.
Installation on a Drawer or Cupboard
WARNING – Risk of burns! Accessible parts may become hot during operation.
If no built-in oven is underneath and the hob's underside is accessible:
- For gas hobs with wok burner, insert a non-flammable intermediate floor (e.g., metal or plywood) at a 10 mm distance from the hob [diagram showing intermediate floor].
- For gas hobs without a wok burner, fitting an intermediate floor is advisable [diagram showing intermediate floor].
In both cases, the distance from the intermediate floor to the mains connection must be at least 10 mm. The separator thickness must allow for the distances shown in the figure.
Installation Above an Oven
[Diagram showing installation above an oven].
Positioning the Appliance
- Position the hob with the upper side facing down on a flat, stable surface.
- Apply the supplied adhesive seal to the lower edge of the hob to prevent liquid penetration [diagram showing seal application].
- Screw the supplied brackets into the specified position so they can turn freely [diagram showing bracket installation].
- Turn the hob around and insert it into the recess, starting from the front [diagram showing hob insertion].
- Turn the brackets and tighten them fully. The bracket position depends on worktop thickness [diagram showing bracket tightening].
Note: Do not use silicone to bond the appliance to the worktop.
Removing the Appliance
- Disconnect the appliance from electricity and gas connections.
- Unscrew the brackets and proceed in reverse order.
Connecting the Gas
Observe country-specific guidelines.
CAUTION – Risk of explosion! A gas leakage may cause an explosion. Check the seal after any connection.
- Ensure the gas connection allows the shut-off valve to be accessible.
- Verify the rating plate information (gas type, pressure) complies with local connection conditions.
- Connect to a fixed gas pipe or a flexible metal pipe.
- The flexible metal pipe must not contact moving parts of the unit (e.g., a drawer) or be routed through obstructed spaces.
- Gas connection elbow on appliance: R 1/2. Do not move or twist the elbow.
Connection to Gas Cylinder or Liquid Gas Tank
If the flame is large or unstable, check the gas cylinder/tank regulator is working properly. An overpressure safety device can be installed to limit or cut off gas supply if the regulator fails.
Spare Parts for Gas Connection
Gas connection parts can be obtained from technical customer service if country regulations allow [diagram showing gas connection parts].
Gas connection R 1/2 [diagram showing R 1/2 connection].
Gas connection G 1/2:
- Replace the gas connection elbow on the appliance with the G 1/2 elbow supplied in the accessory bag [diagram showing G 1/2 elbow replacement].
- Insert the seal between the appliance gas connection and the gas supply.
Electrical Connection
This appliance is Type Y: The connection cable must only be replaced by technical customer service. Respect cable type and minimum cross-section.
Hobs are supplied with a power cord (with or without plug). The power cable must only be replaced with an original manufacturer's cable, available from after-sales service.
Do not use extension cables or multiple socket strips.
Connect appliances with a plug to a correctly installed socket with protective earth conductor.
Connect to a fixed installation and use appropriate isolating switches per installation regulations [diagram showing wiring connections: BN (Brown), BU (Blue), GN/YE (Green and yellow)].
Converting the Gas Type
This appliance can be adapted to other gas types listed on the rating plate, if country regulations permit. Parts are supplied with the appliance or available from customer service. Refer to the table for correct burner/gas type combinations.
Gas Type Categories:
- C: Economy burner
- D: Standard-output burner
- E: High-output burner
- F: Mini-wok multi-crown burner
- G: Wok multi-crown burner
Adjusting the Taps
- Set control elements to minimum power, pull them out, and remove the plinth for control elements.
- To access the bypass screw, use a screwdriver tip to push down on the flexible rubber holder [diagram showing bypass screw access]. Never remove the sealing ring, as it prevents liquids and dirt ingress.
- When adjusting bypass screws (M), refer to the table [diagram showing bypass screw adjustment A: tighten, B: flush].
Replacing the Nozzles
- Remove all pan supports, burner caps, and distributors.
- Replace nozzles using the appropriate wrench and tighten carefully to ensure a seal [diagram showing nozzle replacement]. Ensure the nozzle does not detach during removal or fastening.
Reinstalling the Appliance
Install appliance components in reverse order.
Checking if Equipment is Working
- Check that turning the rotary knob between maximum and minimum power does not cause the burner to go out or result in backfire.
- If gas flow is incorrect, check the nozzle and bypass screw position against the table.
Documenting the Gas Type Conversion
Attach the sticker showing the new gas type near the rating plate.
