Device Description

The Sencor SRD 1000SCL is an AM/FM emergency radio with multiple charging options and useful features.

Key components:

First Use

Before first use, fully charge the internal battery of the SRD 1000SCL. Charging takes several hours. The fully charged battery is indicated by the LED with the '100%' label. Use the USB-C charging port for the initial charge. The operation of available functions is described in the following chapters of this user manual.

Charging

The SRD 1000SCL can be charged in three ways:

a) USB-C

Remove the rubber cover and connect the USB-C cable to the device. Use a charger with minimum parameters of 5V and 1A. After charging, disconnect the USB-C cable and securely close the connectors with the rubber cover.

b) Hand Crank

Pull out the crank. For first-time use or if the radio has not been used for over 60 days, turn the crank clockwise or counterclockwise for 3 to 5 minutes continuously to activate the built-in battery. If the battery is activated by cranking, it will be recharged.

c) Solar Panel

Place the SRD 1000SCL device so that sunlight directly hits the solar panel. Charging via the solar panel is not a primary charging source. Warning: Avoid prolonged charging in direct sunlight to prevent overheating and damage to the SRD 1000SCL device.

Power Bank Function

The SRD 1000SCL features a power bank function. Uncover the rubber cover and connect a charging cable to the USB-A connector to start charging your device. Cover the port again after charging. Warning: This is a supplementary function. Your mobile phone may not be fully charged from the SRD 1000SCL's built-in battery. The USB-A port does not support fast charging protocols.

Flashlight

Press the flashlight button to turn on or switch flashlight modes. There are 4 modes:

Reading Light

On the side with the telescopic antenna, there is a notch in the solar panel for your fingernail to flip open the solar panel. Flipping open the solar panel automatically turns on the LED reading light. Closing the solar panel to its original position turns off the light.

SOS

Pressing the SOS button will cause the device to emit an acoustic signal and flash the flashlight. Pressing the SOS button again will turn off the SOS function. Warning: Use this function only when necessary to call for help. The SOS function does not replace certified emergency equipment.

Radio

a) Turn the volume knob clockwise to turn on the radio and adjust the volume. The POW indicator will light up when the radio is on. To turn off the radio, turn the knob counterclockwise until a slight click is heard and the POW indicator turns off.

b) Use the "FM / AM switch" to select the FM or AM radio band. For better signal reception, extend and adjust the antenna.

c) Turn the "Radio tuning knob" to select your desired radio station.

IPX3 Protection

The device is protected against water spray. Water sprays the device at an angle of 60° vertically, at a rate of 10 liters per minute, and at a pressure of 80–100 kN/m² for 5 minutes.
