IKEA ALEX Drawer Unit Assembly Instructions

Tools Required

The following tools are recommended for assembly:

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Flat head screwdriver
• Hammer

Ensure you have all the following parts before beginning assembly:

• 8x Screw (110519)
• 16x Screw (118331)
• 4x Screw (100481)
• 10x Cam lock (103114)
• 10x Cam lock (119252)
• 17x Dowel (101345)
• 8x Dowel (101350)
• 4x Screw (113213)
• 4x Screw (105021)
• 4x Caster wheel (115763)

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Prepare Side Panels

Insert 8 screws (118331) into the pre-drilled holes on the two main side panels. Ensure the correct orientation as shown in the diagram.

Step 2: Insert Dowels

Insert 4 dowels (101345) into the designated holes on the bottom panels. Do not use dowels (101345) that are marked with a cross.

Step 3: Attach Bottom Panel

Align and attach the bottom panel to the side panels using the inserted dowels and screws.

Step 4: Attach Back Panel

Slide the back panel into the grooves of the assembled side and bottom panels. Ensure it is fully seated.

Step 5: Secure with Cam Locks

Insert and tighten 2 cam locks (103114) to secure the back panel to the side panels.

Step 6: Prepare Drawer Supports

Insert 4 dowels (101350) into the drawer support pieces.

Step 7: Attach Drawer Supports

Attach the drawer supports to the side panels using the dowels.

Step 8: Secure Drawer Supports

Insert and tighten 2 cam locks (119252) to secure the drawer supports.

Step 9: Attach Top Panel

Place the top panel onto the assembled structure and secure it with screws.

Step 10: Secure Top Panel

Insert and tighten 2 cam locks (119252) to further secure the top panel.

Step 11: Attach Drawer Slides

Attach the drawer slides to the inside of the unit using screws (103114).

Step 12: Prepare Drawer Front

Insert 4 screws (100481) into the drawer front panel.

Step 13: Attach Drawer Front

Align and attach the drawer front to the drawer box.

Step 14: Secure Drawer Front

Insert and tighten 4 cam locks (119252) to secure the drawer front.

Step 15: Attach Casters

Attach the 4 caster wheels to the bottom of the unit using screws (113213).

Step 16: Assemble Drawer Box

Assemble the drawer box components using screws (118331) and dowels (101345).

Step 17: Insert Drawer Box

Slide the assembled drawer box into the unit on the drawer slides.

Step 18: Attach Drawer Handle

Attach the drawer handle to the drawer front using screws.

Step 19: Final Check

Ensure all screws and cam locks are tightened and the unit is stable.

Step 20: Drawer Assembly (Second Drawer)

Repeat steps 16-18 for the second drawer.

Step 21: Drawer Insertion

Insert the second drawer into the unit.

Step 22: Final Drawer Assembly

Attach the drawer front to the second drawer box using screws (118331).

Step 23: Drawer Support Dowels

Insert 4 dowels (101345) into the drawer support pieces for the second drawer.

Step 24: Attach Drawer Supports

Attach the drawer supports to the side panels for the second drawer.

Step 25: Secure Drawer Supports

Insert and tighten 4 cam locks (103114) to secure the drawer supports.

Step 26: Attach Drawer Base

Slide the drawer base into the grooves of the drawer box.

Step 27: Secure Drawer Base

Secure the drawer base with screws.

Step 28: Attach Drawer Front

Attach the drawer front to the assembled drawer box.

Step 29: Secure Drawer Front

Insert and tighten 2 cam locks (119252) to secure the drawer front.

Step 30: Attach Top Panel to Drawer Unit

Place the top panel onto the assembled drawer unit and secure with screws (110519).

Step 31: Attach Casters to Drawer Unit

Attach the remaining caster wheels to the bottom of the unit using screws (113213).

Step 32: Insert Drawer

Slide the assembled drawer into the unit.

Step 33: Final Drawer Attachment

Secure the drawer front with screws (105021).

Step 34: Second Drawer Attachment

Attach the second drawer front to the drawer box using screws (105021).
