Canbus Box Connection
Important Note: Check if the door opening information or air conditioner information is working properly. If so, the harness is not broken.
- Please connect the CAN019-R or CAN020-R harness with the Canbus box first.
- Plug the 8PIN white connector into No. C CANBUS Port.
- Connect the Black Canbus box.
- Test whether the head unit has sound after connecting the harness.
Image: A reference image shows the connection of the canbus box to the radio, highlighting the CANBUS port and the connection of the canbus box.
Confirmation: Please confirm which harness fits your car. The radio comes with CAN019-R and CANO20-R harnesses and one black canbus box. Contact ViaBecs Tech Support if you receive the wrong harness.
SWC Troubleshooting: If the Steering Wheel Control (SWC) does not work, check the Canbus / protocol option. Open Car Settings -> Factory Setting -> password is 8888 -> Protocol setting.
Protocol Selection: If your CRV 2012-2015 is 2.0L, choose “Honda 2012 CRV / 2015 CRV 2.0L/Civic”. If your CRV 2012-2015 is 2.4L, choose “Honda 2015 CRV 2.4L (No right)”.
Image: A screenshot shows the 'CAN set' menu with options for different Honda models, indicating where to select the correct protocol.
USB Connection: Connect the 4PIN USB adapter to your factory USB connector.

The Connection of Factory Backup Camera
S1: Connect the backup camera line with the CAM VIN & Wifi cable.
S2: Test if the factory backup camera displays an image automatically when the car is reversing.
Image: Shows the back of the radio with the backup camera cable connected, highlighting the 'Small cam line' and the connector for the backup camera.
S3: If the camera image is black, change the camera setting. Go to Car setting App > factory setting > password is 8888 > reverse camera setting.
Camera Format Settings:
- If your camera is not HD, choose normal -- SD -- NTSC/PAL.
- If your camera is HD, choose normal -- HD -- Rear view -- 720P or 1080P.

How to Solve the No Sound Problem
Problem: The car radio has no sound after connecting the CAN019 or CAN020 harness.
Important Note: Contact ViaBecs to get an OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth or an HD backup camera as a gift by providing your shipping address and phone number to wire the AMP CONT line.
Solution:
S1: Check if PIN 5 (AMP CONT) of the 24PIN Connector has a line.
Image: Close-up of a 24PIN connector, highlighting PIN 5.
S2: If PIN 5 is empty, connect the red wire of the factory cable with the blue AMP CONT line.
Image: Shows the factory connector with wires and the blue AMP CONT line, indicating where to connect the red wire.
S3: Turn on the 'Car Amplifier' option in the head unit settings. The head unit should now have sound. The car amplifier color changing to light blue indicates it has been successfully turned on.
Image: Screenshot of the head unit interface showing the 'Car Amplifier' option.
S4: Connect the G1 GND line to the car's iron part (e.g., seatbelt bolt) for stability and to reduce interference. Grind away paint if necessary.
