2. Check Your Factory Radio

Model Number: SYFT7210

Model A: 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander

Compatibility with Original functionality: with JBL Amplifier, with backup camera or 360 camera, A/C info, USB Cable, TPMS info.

Proper Wiring Harness: CAN004-X (Not included)

Note: Ports No. 5 & 6 are for the Camera Connector. Only connect one of them.

The front of the head unit features controls such as PWR-VOL, AUDIO, HOME, APPS, Radio, SEEK, and TRACK.

The back of the unit displays various ports. A separate wiring harness (labeled RPS-TY-001) is shown with numbered connectors (1-11) and labels including 'USB Adapter', 'Canbus box', 'Rear Camera (16PIN)', 'Rear Camera (24PIN)', '10PIN CAM VIN & Wifi Line', '8PIN Canbus Port', '4PIN USB adapter', and 'FM/AM Radio Antenna'.

3. Connect CAN004-X harness with factory harness

Note: Not all factory connectors need to be connected. Some functions may be lost after removing the factory radio. The wiring harness supports factory backup camera, JBL AMP, Factory USB, and SWC etc.

Note: Connect either the No.4 or No.5 male rear camera line.

STEP 1: How to connect factory backup camera

S1:

Connect the yellow male camera RCA of No. 8 Or No. 11 CAMERA Connector (CAN004-X) with the PIN10 Rear CAM VIN.

Note:

The image displays a Nissan wiring harness as a reference.

Detailed camera connection: The 'Camera connector' shows 'RCA Male CAM VIN'. Another diagram illustrates the '24PIN CAMERA CONNECTOR' and '16PIN CAMERA CONNECTOR'. The connection is made between the 'Yellow RCA Male CAM VIN' line of the harness and the '10 PIN RCA Female CAM-IN' line.

STEP 2: Set up the options for Canbus

S1:

Connect the head unit with your Phone hotspot or WiFi first. Navigate to 'Car Settings' -> 'Factory' -> 'Select Models'. The password is 123456. Then select the model.

S2:

Choose CanBox Brand: 03: Simple Soft. Cars for: 30: Toyota. Models for: 14: All New Highlander. Config: Public. Finally, press OK to save the settings. The head unit will update automatically.

4. Radio Wiring Diagram

The 'Car Choose' screen displays options for CanBox, Cars, Models, and Config. The 'Device Ports' illustration shows the GPS Antenna, 4G Antenna, Backup Camera 6pin, 4pin USB Cable, Canbus Port, Radio antenna, 360 Camera (Optional), Power Cable, and Audio Cable. The back of the unit is depicted with numbered ports (1-20) and lettered cable connections (A-F).

Q3: How to change the KPH to MPH?

Please click Theme app -> Setting -> Plugin -> Speed Unit. You can change to KPH to MPH.

Q4: How do I update the ViaBecs TS10 software?

You can update the system and MCU online. Please connect your home WiFi first. Then open the car setting app -> About -> Detection Update.

S1:

You need to connect WiFi to activate Tlink when you use it for the first time. To find WiFi: Drop down the Quick Setting Menu and long-press the WiFi icon to turn it on. You can also try connecting to your phone's hotspot first. Note: Please clear the Tlink usage record first.

S2:

If Tlink still asks for the auth_key, please take a clear photo of the QR activating code and send it. Your engineer will activate it after scanning the code. Steps: 1) Click "About" on the Tlink app. 2) Choose the first option (Wireless Carplay + Wireless Android Auto + Wired Android Auto). Then click "refresh" to get the new QR code. 3) Take a photo and send it. Note: The code will be invalid if the time is too long.
