Counter Cut-Out

The 100mm / 4" cut-out is required for the font with a drip tray.

The font without a drip tray requires a 32mm / 1 1/4" cut-out only.

Use a 32mm / 1 1/4" and a 100mm / 4" circular hole saw to make the holes.

Diagram shows a template for counter cut-outs. It indicates two circular holes: a smaller one with a diameter of 32mm (1 1/4") and a larger one with a diameter of 100mm (4"). The 100mm hole is marked "For drip tray only". Dimensions are provided: 82.5mm and 100mm, with a scale of 1:1.

Installation

1. No Drip Tray

Diagram illustrates the installation steps for a font without a drip tray. It shows drilling a 32mm hole in the counter. The font's stem is then inserted through the hole and secured from below with washers and nuts. Hoses are connected. The diagram also shows recommended hosing lengths of 130-500mm and a 50mm clearance.

Hosing: Should be trimmed to ensure continuous drop from font to boiler.

Hosing Length: 130-500mm

Clearance: 50mm

2. Drip Tray (sold separately p/n. 2300268)

Diagram illustrates the installation steps for a font with a drip tray. It shows drilling a 32mm hole and a 100mm hole in the counter. The font is inserted and secured. The drip tray is placed below the font. The drain outlet on the drip tray should be plumbed to waste. Hoses are connected. Recommended hosing lengths of 130-500mm and a 50mm clearance are shown.

Hosing: Should be trimmed to ensure continuous drop from font to boiler.

Hosing Length: 130-500mm

Clearance: 50mm

Drain Outlet: Must be plumbed to waste.

Connecting Hoses with MIX

Diagram shows the connections to the MIX unit: Cold Water (blue hose), Hot Water (red hose), Power (green hose), and Vent (black hose). Below, diagrams illustrate programming the MIX programmable buttons for 1-button, 2-button, and 3-button fonts, showing button presses and indicator lights.

Connections for MIX unit:

Warning: Do not place the beverage source above the control box to prevent concentrate spillage.

Control Box Setup

Diagrams show the control box interface. One shows a "3 finger press long hold" action for calibration options like "Calibrate Hot water", "RTD speed", and "Chiller present". Another shows a "3 finger press short hold" action, displaying modes like HOT (000%), COLD (020%), RTD (--), % CONCENTRATE (0% = just water, 20%=4:1), and DISPENSE VOLUME (200ml, 30ml). A table lists MODE descriptions: HOT (Hot Water), COLD (Cold/ambient water mixed with concentrate), RTD (Ready to drink, undiluted concentrate), OFF (Button non-active), PRI (Triggers second control box). A table shows Water to Coffee ratios for % Concentrate: 20% (4:1) and 10% (9:1).

Calibration Options (via 3 finger press long hold):

  • Calibrate Hot water
  • RTD speed
  • Chiller present (Select Yes if using a chiller)

Control Box Modes:

MODE DESCRIPTION
HOTHot Water (set ratio to 0%)
COLDCold / ambient water mixed with concentrate (set ratio to 0% for just cold water)
RTDReady to drink, undiluted concentrate
OFFButton non-active
PRITriggers second control box, in case of 2 control boxes primary must be one connected to the font

% Concentrate vs. Water to Coffee Ratio:

% Concentrate Water to Coffee ratio
20%4:1
10%9:1

Boiler Setup: Instructions are provided to set the mode to "UC MIX BOTH", set temperature units (°C), and adjust temperatures and volumes. All temperatures and volumes are initially set to 0.

Note: Volumes must be calibrated; refer to the Control Box manual for the calibration guide.

User Setup

Diagrams show programming programmable buttons and calibration steps. The calibration options include: Calibrate conc pump (fast and slow speed), Calibrate Cold water (dispense water until flowmeter clicks), Calibrate Hot water (dispense hot water), RTD speed, and Chiller present. Each option has a description of the process.

Programmable Buttons: Program and change buttons accordingly.

Calibration Options:

  • Calibrate conc pump: Will pump concentrate using FAST speed for 10 seconds and ask for weight, then repeat at SLOW speed. Ensure system is primed/tubes are full with liquid for accurate results.
  • Calibrate Cold water: Will dispense water until flowmeter clicks 200 pulses, then ask to enter weight. Ensure system is primed/tubes are full with liquid for accurate results.
  • Calibrate Hot water: Will dispense hot water from the boiler for 10 seconds and ask for weight to be entered.
  • RTD speed: This is the speed of the pump (in % of full speed). Reduce if flow rate is too violent.
  • Chiller present: Select Yes if you are using a chiller to supply cold water.

Operating Font

There are two primary operating methods:

  1. 1. Push & Hold

Diagram shows a cup under the font nozzle. A hand is shown pressing and holding a button, resulting in a continuous flow of liquid into the cup.

Press and hold the button for continuous dispensing.

  2. 2. Push & Release

Diagram shows a cup under the font nozzle. A hand is shown pressing and releasing a button. A close-up shows a control panel with buttons, indicating a set volume dispense.

Press and release the button for a pre-set volume dispense.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Diagram shows the font being cleaned. A hand is shown cleaning the nozzle and drip tray area. Arrows indicate removing the drip tray. A yellow warning triangle with "RISK OF SCALDING" is displayed.

⚠️ RISK OF SCALDING

  • Turn off the boiler before cleaning to prevent accidental dispensing.
  • Be careful not to accidentally operate the font, especially when cleaning around the push buttons.
  • The appliance must not be immersed in water or cleaning solution.
  • The exterior of this font may be cleaned with a damp cloth and a light detergent. Do not use a water jet on external surfaces.
  • For cleaning internal tubing and components, use Urnex Cafiza cleaner.
  • Twist off and wash the flow straightener.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths or creams, as this will damage the font's finish.
