Introduction

This user manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your Reebok SL8.0 DC treadmill.

Important Safety Instructions

⚠️ CAUTION:

  • The equipment is intended for home use only (HB). Do not use in any commercial, rental, or institutional setting.
  • Consult your doctor before performing any exercise program.
  • Keep children and pets away from the device at all times.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 14 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if supervised or instructed on safe use and understanding hazards.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children under 14 years old.
  • Ensure the equipment is on a flat, stable, and level surface with at least 0.6m of clear area surrounding it.
  • Always wear appropriate exercise clothing and training shoes.
  • The safety level can only be maintained if examined regularly for damage and wear. Replace defective components immediately or keep the equipment out of use until repaired. Pay special attention to components most susceptible to wear.
  • Keep hair, body, and clothing free and clear of all moving parts.
  • If at any time during exercise you feel faint, dizzy, or experience pain, stop exercising immediately and consult your physician.
  • Over-exercising may result in serious injury or death.
  • Keep the equipment indoors, away from moisture and dust. Do not put it in a garage, covered patio, or near water.
  • Ensure adjustment devices do not interfere with user's movement.
  • The equipment should be used only by persons weighing 150 kg / 330.69 lb or less.
  • Heart rate monitoring system may be inaccurate. Excessive exercise can lead to serious injury or death. Stop exercising immediately.
  • Ensure a safety area of at least 2000 mm x 1000 mm behind the equipment.
  • Noise emission under load is higher than without load.
  • Do not operate the treadmill when folded. Allow the running surface to stop completely before folding.

DANGER ❗ To reduce the risk of electric shock and injury from moving parts: Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning or servicing.

WARNING ⚠️ To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised by a person responsible for their safety. Keep children under 13 away.
  • Use only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use unauthorized attachments.
  • Never operate with air openings blocked. Keep air openings free of lint, hair, etc.
  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
  • Do not use outdoors. Household use only.
  • Do not operate where aerosol products are used or oxygen is administered.
  • Never leave unattended when plugged in. Unplug when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate if cord or plug is damaged, not working properly, dropped, damaged, or dropped into water. Return to service center.
  • Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • To disconnect, turn all controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
  • CAUTION: Risk of Injury to Persons. Use extreme caution when stepping onto or off of a moving belt. Read Instruction Manual Before Using.
  • Connect only to a properly grounded outlet. See Grounding Instructions.
  • REMOVE CONTROL BOX (OR KEY, OR SAFETY PIN) WHEN NOT IN USE, AND STORE OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Important Electrical Information

WARNING: This treadmill requires a correct power source. Verify the power source before plugging in. Incorrect power source can cause significant damage.

DANGER: Improper connection of grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Check with a certified electrician if in doubt. Do not modify the plug.

Grounding Methods

This product must be grounded. Grounding provides the least resistance for electrical current and will reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug must be connected to an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Ensure the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. Do not use an adapter.

  • NEVER use a ground fault circuit interrupt (GFCI) wall outlet.
  • Route the power cord away from any moving part.
  • NEVER operate using a generator or UPS power supply.
  • NEVER remove any cover without first disconnecting AC power.
  • NEVER expose the treadmill to rain or moisture.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Operation

Button Functions

  • PROG: Press to choose program (Manual, P1-P24 pre-set, U1-U3 user, FAT body fat test).
  • MODE: Press to select workout targets (Time, Distance, Calories). Set value with SPEED +/- and INCLINE +/-, then press START.
  • START: Press to start the machine.
  • STOP: Press to pause or stop the machine.
  • SPEED +/-: Press to adjust speed.
  • INCLINE +/-: Press to adjust incline.
  • FAN: Press to open or close the fan.

Computer Functions

Quick Start

  • Press START. System counts down for 3 seconds and makes a sound.
  • Press SPEED +/- to adjust speed.
  • Press INCLINE +/- to adjust incline.

Manual Mode

  • Press MODE to enter TIME, DISTANCE, CALORIES, and INCLINE targets.
  • Press START. Treadmill will run after 3 seconds.
  • Press SPEED +/- and INCLINE +/- to adjust speed and incline.

Program Mode

  • Press PROG. The DISTANCE window will display 24 programs. Select program 1-24.
  • Press SPEED +/- or INCLINE +/- to set workout time.
  • Each program can be divided into 10 sections. Machine beeps 3 times when starting a new section.
  • Press SPEED +/- and INCLINE +/- to change speed and incline during each section.
  • Machine beeps 3 times and stops when the program is finished.

User Program Mode

  • Press PROG until U1, U2, or U3 is displayed.
  • Press INCLINE +/- or SPEED +/- to change incline or speed.
  • Press MODE to confirm and enter the next section.
  • From standby, press PROG until U1, U2, U3 is shown. Set running time and press START.

Body Fat Test

  • Press PROG until FAT is displayed.
  • Press MODE to enter information: Set values F-1 to F-4 (F-1: GENDER, F-2: AGE, F-3: HEIGHT, F-4: WEIGHT).
  • Press MODE to enter F-5 (BODY FAT TEST). Hold hands on pulse sensors. Console displays body fat value after 3 seconds.
  • Body Fat Interpretation (Guide only):
    • <19: Under Weight
    • 20-25: Normal Weight
    • 26-29: Overweight
    • >30: Obese

MPH to KPH Conversion

Speed and Distance can be set to operate in MPH and KPH. To switch:

  1. In Standby mode, insert SAFETY KEY. Press SPEED + and INCLINE + for 5 seconds.
  2. Speed will show "0.6" for MPH or "1.0" for KPH.
  3. Repeat the process to change again.

Key Features

Safety Key

A red safety key is included. The machine will not operate unless it is inserted. It stops the machine immediately in an emergency. The computer will display "safety key disconnected" if not correctly attached. The clip must be attached to the user at all times during workouts. Unplug the safety key when the equipment is not in use.

Power Saving

The treadmill has a power saving mode that activates if inactive for 10 minutes. Press any button to restart.

Power Off

You can switch off the power to stop the treadmill at any time without causing damage.

Maintenance and Care

Belt Adjustment

Place the treadmill on level ground and set it at 5-8 kph (3-5 mph) to check if the running belt drifts.

  • If the running belt moves to the left: Turn the bolts on the left side clockwise (1/4 turn), then turn the right bolt counter-clockwise (1/4 turn). Repeat until it centers.
  • If the running belt moves to the right: Turn the bolt on the right side clockwise (1/4 turn), then turn the left bolt counter-clockwise (1/4 turn). Repeat until it centers.

Belt Tightening

Over time the running belt will loosen. To tighten the belt, turn the left & right side bolts one full turn clockwise. Check the tension. Continue until belt has correct tension. Ensure to adjust both sides equally for correct belt alignment.

Lubrication Reminder

After every 300 km / 188 miles of running, the treadmill requires lubrication. The machine will make a sound every 10 seconds and display `OIL`. Refer to the user guide for lubrication instructions. After lubrication, hold STOP for 3 seconds to remove the warning.
