FiiO Q5s Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for operating your FiiO Q5s Headphone Amplifier/USB DAC.

Operation and Indicator Explained
1. Power on/off and volume adjustment
Turn the "Power/Volume" knob until a click sound is heard to turn on the device. The indicator will light up. Keep turning clockwise to increase volume. Turn anticlockwise to decrease volume, and turn anticlockwise until a click sound is heard to turn off the device.
2. Input selection and indicator explained
a. Press the "Switch" button briefly to switch among USB/Line/Optical/Coaxial inputs. The corresponding indicator on the side will light up to display the current input mode.
Input Indicators:
- USB input indicator

- Coaxial input indicator
The Q5s remembers the input mode used last time before turning off and will automatically display it as the current input mode the next time you turn on the device.
b. The side indicator can also display the battery and charging status. Hold the "Switch" button for about 3 seconds to view the battery status:

Low battery warning: When the battery is less than 10%, the side Coaxial input indicator will flash red twice every 3 seconds to remind you to recharge.
When charging, the side indicator shows the charging status:

The indicator does not show the current input mode when charging. You can press the "Switch" button briefly to check the input mode. You can switch the input mode by pressing the "Switch" button within 5 seconds; otherwise, the indicator will return to charging status.
c. The front indicator displays the sampling rates of different input modes and Bluetooth status.
- USB input: Blue (for sampling rates ≤ 48kHz); Yellow (for sampling rates > 48kHz); Green (for DSD tracks).
- Line input: Sampling rates are not available; the Blue light stays steadily on.
- Optical/Coaxial inputs: Blue (for sampling rates ≤ 48kHz); Yellow (for sampling rates > 48kHz).
- Bluetooth status display will be specified in the Bluetooth mode section.
3. Bluetooth mode
a. While the unit is powered on, hold the "Bluetooth On/Off" button for about 2s. The device will enter Bluetooth mode, and the Q5s will connect to the last-connected Bluetooth device automatically. If connection fails, the Q5s will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
b. While the unit is powered on, hold the "Bluetooth On/Off" button for about 5s to enter Bluetooth pairing mode directly.

d. When Bluetooth is enabled, other inputs become invalid. Hold the "Bluetooth On/Off" button for about 2s to exit Bluetooth mode.
e. When in Bluetooth mode, the Q5s remembers the input mode prior to Bluetooth mode before turning off. It will display this as the current input mode after you turn the device on next time. To enter Bluetooth mode, hold the "Bluetooth On/Off" button for about 2s.
USB DAC
a. When using the device with a Windows computer in USB1.1 mode, no drivers are needed.
Operation guide: Turn on the device by rotating the "Power/Volume" knob, switch to USB input, and then hold the "Previous track" button on the left side while plugging in the USB cable to connect to the computer. After connecting, choose the corresponding output device.
b. When using the device with a Windows computer for the first time in USB2.0 mode, download the driver from the FiiO website and follow the installation instructions. Download link: http://www.fiio.com/supports
c. When using with a MAC OS computer, no drivers are needed. After connecting, choose the corresponding output device.
d. Using the included Lightning-Micro USB cable to connect the Q5s with your iPhone/iPad/iPod allows you to play music on your iOS device and enjoy Hi-Res music.
It is recommended to set the system output volume on the computer to the maximum level and then adjust the output volume of the Q5s using its volume knob.

Precautions
- Please set the volume moderately to protect your hearing and audio equipment.
- Remove headphones from your ears before plugging or unplugging them to avoid impulsive sound damage to your hearing.
- Do not disassemble, expose the unit to water, or perform unauthorized repairs.
- If the unit is left unused for a long time, recharge it periodically to preserve battery life.
- Your hearing and environmental awareness are affected when using headphones. For your safety, do not use headphones in dangerous environments.
- If the system shows an error, try pressing the "Reset" button with a ⌀1mm insulating pin for 5s to restore normal operation.
