3. Installation Guidelines
- Establish a radio link between parent and camera units. Range is affected by environmental conditions.
- Large metal objects (refrigerators, mirrors, filing cabinets, metallic doors, reinforced concrete) between units may block the radio signal.
- Signal strength may be reduced by solid structures (walls) or other electronic equipment (TVs, computers, cordless/mobile phones, fluorescent lights, dimmer switches).
- Other 2.4GHz products (Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth systems, microwave ovens) may cause interference. Keep the baby monitor at least 5ft (1.5m) away from such products or turn them off if interference occurs.
4. Placement of the Baby Monitor
- Camera can be placed on a desktop or mounted on the wall.
- Do not place on soft quilts, blankets, or in corners of cupboards/shelves.
- Keep the monitor away from heat sources (radiators, chimneys, cookers, direct sunlight) and electronic devices (TV sets, microwave ovens, radios). Move the camera if interference occurs.
- Place the camera within 6 feet (2 meters) of the area being monitored for optimum performance.
