How a home standby generator works:

1. Your power goes out due to storms, grid failure, or other causes.
2. Your Generac generator detects the outage and automatically turns on within seconds.
3. When utility power is restored, your Generac transfer switch senses this and tells the generator to turn off, switching your home back to utility power. The generator returns to standby mode.

ECOGEN® 15 kW home standby generator

An automatic standby generator engineered specifically for off-grid applications, eliminating the expense and unreliability of alternative energy backup. It integrates easily into existing inverter and battery storage systems and runs on environmentally friendly, energy-efficient natural gas or liquid-propane.
