Getting Started
Welcome to the Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6. This guide will help you set up your new powerline adapters for a faster and more stable internet connection in every room.
Installation Options
You can install your Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 using either the Devolo Home Network App or by following the manual steps outlined below.
A. Installation via App
Download the Devolo Home Network App from your device's app store. The app provides a step-by-step wizard to guide you through the configuration process.

B. Manual Installation
Follow these steps for a manual setup:
B1: Note Your WiFi Key
Locate the WiFi key on the back of your devolo Magic adapter. You can also write it down in the provided space on this flyer for easy access.
B2: Connect the WiFi Adapter
Plug the devolo Magic WiFi adapter into a free wall socket. Wait approximately 1 minute until the LED indicator flashes white.
B3: Connect the LAN Adapter
Within 2 minutes, plug the second devolo Magic adapter (the LAN adapter) into a free wall socket. Connect this adapter to your router using the provided LAN cable.
B4: Encryption Process
The adapters will now automatically encrypt the connection. During this process, the LEDs on both adapters will flash white.
B5: Completion
The process is complete when the LEDs on both devices light up solid white. This may take up to 3 minutes.
B6: Configure WiFi Connection
Set up the WiFi connection on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Your basic installation is now complete.
Optional: Mesh Technology
For enhanced WiFi coverage, you can utilize Mesh technology. This allows you to connect all your devolo Magic adapters and your router into a single, seamless network, ensuring the strongest possible internet connection anywhere in your home.
B7: Enable Mesh Technology
To enable Mesh technology, press the button on your devolo Magic WiFi adapter once. The Wi-Fi access data will be transferred. If the adapter is within 10 meters of your router, proceed to step B9. Otherwise, proceed to step B8.
B8: Position the WiFi Adapter for Mesh Setup
Connect the devolo Magic WiFi adapter to a free wall socket near your router (within a 10-meter range). Wait about 1 minute until the LED lights up white.
B9: Initiate Manual Pairing for Mesh
Briefly press the button on your devolo Magic WiFi adapter. The LED will flash white. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router. Consult your router's manual for the correct button press duration.
B10: Confirm Mesh Connection
Once the LED on the devolo Magic WiFi adapter lights up solid white, the pairing process is successfully completed.
B11: Final Placement
You can now disconnect your devolo Magic WiFi adapter and place it in your desired location. Your Devolo Magic adapters provide seamless internet access with the strongest possible connection throughout your home.
