Low 8µVRMS, High-PSRR 20V 200mA LDO Regulator

The AP7372 low dropout regulator (LDO) offers ultra-low 8µVRMS noise and high power supply rejection-ratio (PSRR), making it ideal for power supplies in noise-sensitive signal chain blocks such as precision ADC/DAC, VCO, medical devices, and instrumentation.

This high-input-voltage LDO operates from 2.7V to 20V, suitable for many standard power rail systems. It delivers 200mA output current and is available with fixed output voltage options of 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V. An adjustable version is also available, providing a nominal 1.2V output.

The fixed-output voltages of the AP7372 can be adjusted above their nominal values using an external feedback divider. The device supports an adjustable output ranging from VOUT(NOM) down to VIN minus the dropout voltage (VDO).

It features excellent line and load transient response, requiring only a small 2.2µF ceramic output capacitor. The AP7372 also supports adjustable soft-start functionality via a small capacitor connected to the SS pin, allowing for optimization of start-up time according to system needs.

The AP7372 is housed in the compact U-WLB1012-6 (Type A1) package, measuring only 1mm by 1.2mm. This small footprint enables its use in high-power-density applications across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
