Automatic Watch Features
This timepiece is equipped with a self-winding Mechanical Automatic movement. It does not require a battery. It is powered by the motions of the user's own wrist during wear. You may also choose to wind the watch manually.
Watch Component Overview
A diagram illustrates the watch face and its components. Key parts labeled include:
- Second Hand
- Minute Hand
- Hour Hand
- Crown
- Date Window
The movement is described as "AUTOMATIC 24 JEWELS" with "21600 vibrations per hour".
Crown Positions
The watch crown has three positions:
- Position [0] (Closed): Pushed back and water resistant.
- Position [1] (1st Click): Pulled out slightly, not secured for water resistance.
- Position [2] (2nd Click): Pulled out further for setting.
Winding the Mainspring
Before initial use, it is recommended to manually wind the mainspring to start the watch moving. This watch features a manual winding mechanism.
Manual Winding Procedure
To wind the mainspring:
- Ensure the crown is in position [0].
- Turn the crown clockwise. Wind approximately 5-10 times.
- The watch should start moving naturally after a slight shake.
Important Note: For optimal performance, this watch MUST be worn for at least 8 hours each day to ensure it is fully wound. The automatic movement primarily winds through wrist motion. While manual winding by the crown adds power, it may not be sufficient for full function if the watch is not worn regularly. If the watch stops overnight or loses time, it indicates it may not be fully wound.
How to Set the Time
- Pull the crown out to position [2] (2nd click).
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the correct time.
- Push the crown back in.
Note: Take AM/PM into consideration when setting the hour and minute hands.
How to Set the Date
- Pull the crown out to position [1] (1st click).
- Turn the crown anti-clockwise to set the correct date.
- Push the crown back in.
Note: Do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM to avoid potential damage to the movement.
How to Use a Deployant Clasp
To open the clasp:
- Flip the cover.
- Press the buttons on the clasp sides.
How to Resize Metal Bracelet
On the inside of the bracelet, you will find small arrows engraved on removable links, indicating the direction pins should be pushed.
Bracelet Link Adjustment
Follow these steps to adjust the bracelet size:
- Step 3: Use a pin pusher tool and a nylon head hammer. Insert the pin pusher into the end of a link pin.
- Step 4: Gently tap the pin pusher with the nylon head hammer to push the link pin out. Observe the direction indicated by the small arrows on the links.
- Step 5: Remove the pin and separate the bracelet links.
- Step 6: To reattach, align the links and insert the pin in the reverse direction.
- Step 7 & 8: Continue removing or attaching links as needed, using the pin pusher and hammer. Ensure pins are fully seated.
- Step 9 & 10: For micro-size adjustments, use the pin pusher tool to carefully push pins in or out of the adjustment holes on the clasp.
- Step 11 & 12: Complete the adjustment process by ensuring all pins are securely in place and the bracelet is reassembled correctly.
Water Resistance
The water resistance chart provided serves as a guide. Actual water resistance may vary due to factors such as water temperature, salinity, and usage conditions. Over time, with general wear and tear, water resistance may be compromised.
Important Warning: Never wear your watch in a jacuzzi, hot shower, or steam room. Steam can enter the case and cause condensation, potentially damaging the inner workings of the watch, despite watertight seals.
