Understanding Your Automatic Watch
This timepiece is equipped with a self-winding Mechanical Automatic movement. It does not require a battery. Power is generated by the natural motion of the wearer's wrist. Manual winding is also possible.
Key Components:
- Hour Hand: Indicates the hour.
- Minute Hand: Indicates the minute.
- Second Hand: Indicates the second.
- Crown: Used for setting time, date, and manual winding.
- Date Window: Displays the current date.
Crown Positions:
- Position 0 (Closed): For normal operation and water resistance.
- Position 1 (1st Click): For setting the date.
- Position 2 (2nd Click): For setting the time.
Winding the Mainspring
Before initial use, it is recommended to manually wind the mainspring to ensure the watch starts moving correctly.
This watch features an automatic movement with a manual winding mechanism.
Manual Winding Procedure:
With the crown in position [0] (closed), turn the crown clockwise approximately 5-10 times. After winding, a slight shake will help the watch start moving naturally.
Important Note: To ensure the watch remains fully wound, it MUST be worn for at least 8 hours each day. The automatic winding mechanism functions through the motion of your wrist. While crown winding adds power, it may not be sufficient for full operation on its own. If the watch stops overnight or loses time, it indicates it is not being sufficiently wound.
Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to position [2] (2nd click).
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the correct hour and minute hands.
- Push the crown back in to position [0].
Note: Pay attention to AM/PM when setting the time.
Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to position [1] (1st click).
- Turn the crown anti-clockwise to set the correct date.
- Push the crown back in to position [0].
Warning: Do not set the date between 9:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M. to avoid potential damage to the movement.
Water Resistance
The water resistance chart below serves as a guide. Actual water resistance can be influenced by factors such as water temperature, salinity, and the condition of the watch over time due to wear and tear.
Important Precautions: NEVER wear your watch in a jacuzzi, hot shower, or steam room. Steam can penetrate the case and cause condensation, potentially damaging the internal workings.
