The headphones feature several controls and ports:

  • ANC: Active Noise Cancellation button.
  • VOLUME + / NEXT TRACK: Button to increase volume or skip to the next track.
  • POWER / PLAY / PAUSE: Button for power control, play/pause, answering/ending calls.
  • VOLUME - / PREVIOUS TRACK: Button to decrease volume or go to the previous track.
  • ANC MICS: Microphones for Active Noise Cancellation.
  • TYPE-C PORT: Port for charging the headphones.
  • ANC/CHARGING INDICATOR: LED indicator for ANC status and charging status.

Getting Started

Turning On and Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds. You will hear sound prompts, and the ANC button will flash white, indicating pairing mode.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds. You will hear a sound prompt, and the ANC button light will turn off.

Pairing

  1. Ensure the TREBLAB U5 headphones are charged and the AUX cable is not plugged in.
  2. Press the POWER button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode (ANC button flashes white).
  3. Activate the wireless communication function on your smart device and keep it within 3 feet / 1 meter of the TREBLAB U5.
  4. Scan/search for available devices on your smart device.
  5. Select "TREBLAB U5" from the device list. Enter "0000" if prompted for a password.
  6. Once successfully paired, you will hear a "beep" sound prompt, and the ANC button will show a steady white light.

Multipoint Connection

The TREBLAB U5 headphones support connecting to two devices simultaneously, allowing seamless switching between them. To connect to a second device:

  1. Temporarily switch off the wireless mode on the first connected device.
  2. Repeat pairing steps 2-6 to connect the second device.
  3. Turn on the wireless communication function on the first device and connect the U5 again.

The headphones will attempt to reconnect to the last connected devices automatically. If not, they will search the pairing list. The headphones can save up to the last 6 connected devices.

Features and Operation

Gaming Mode

TREBLAB U5 supports gaming mode to reduce audio latency to 60 ms, improving video/audio synchronization. To enable, double-press the POWER button (one-tone sound prompt). To disable, double-press the POWER button again (two-tone sound prompt). Note: Gaming mode may reduce connection range; disable if experiencing connection issues.

Audio Playback

  • Pause/Resume: Click the POWER button.
  • Volume Up: Click the VOLUME + button.
  • Volume Down: Click the VOLUME - button.
  • Next Track: Press and hold VOLUME + for 1 second.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold VOLUME - for 1 second.

AUX Line-in Connection

Connect TREBLAB U5 to devices using the supplied AUX cable. Plug the Type-C end into the right earcup's Type-C port and the 3.5 mm end into your device's AUX port. Remote control for playback functions (NEXT, PREVIOUS, PAUSE, VOLUME) is not supported via AUX; use your smart device for adjustments.

ANC/Ambient Sound Modes

The headphones feature Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. ANC mode reduces surrounding noise, while Ambient Sound mode amplifies frequencies to help you hear voices. When turned on, ANC mode is enabled automatically. To switch to Ambient Sound mode, press the ANC button once. To disable both modes, press the ANC button again.

Sound prompts for ANC modes: ANC on - "whap"; Ambient Sound - "ring-ring"; ANC off - "dong-dong". Ensure ANC microphone holes remain unblocked.

Phone Calls

TREBLAB U5 can be used for wireless phone calls; audio playback pauses during calls.

  • Answer a call: Press the POWER button during an incoming call.
  • Reject a call: Press and hold the POWER button for 1 second during an incoming call.
  • End a call: Press the POWER button during a conversation.

Voice Assistant Activation

To activate your device's voice assistant, press and hold the ANC button for 1 second. You can then transmit voice commands using the inbuilt microphone.

Reset Memory List

To reset the U5 headphones to factory default settings and clear the pairing list (last 6 devices): Turn the headphones on, ensure they are disconnected from any device. Press and hold both VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The headphones will restart, and the device memory will be reset.

Charging and Battery

A low battery is indicated by a sound prompt resembling a busy tone. To charge, plug the supplied cable into the Type-C charging port on the right earcup and the other end into a standard USB port. The LED indicator will turn RED while charging and BLUE when fully charged. Charging takes up to 4 hours. Use a 5V DC, 0.5-2A adapter for optimal charging. Unplug the headphones and cable when not in use. To maintain battery life, it is recommended to charge the TREBLAB U5 fully at least twice a month.

Troubleshooting

Frequent disconnection and noiseEnsure the distance between your device and headphones is less than 30 feet / 10 meters. Confirm there are no obstructions blocking the signal. Check if the headphones are running low on power.

Safety Rules

  • Do not disassemble or modify the headphones, as this may cause malfunction, combustibility, or void your warranty.
  • Keep the device dry; liquids can cause serious damage and void your warranty.
  • Ensure the headphones are completely dry before charging.
  • Avoid exposing TREBLAB U5 to extreme temperatures (below 37°F / 3°C or above 112°F / 45°C), which can deform components, reduce battery life, and shorten lifespan.
  • Do not point the device's LED lights close to humans' or animals' eyes.
  • Do not use the U5 during a thunderstorm, as it can cause serious malfunction and increase the risk of electric shock.
