Description
The INGENIA IG5TR is a powerful 2-way active vertical speaker, equipped with one compression driver (3-inch voice coil, 1.4-inch exit) and three 10-inch woofers, in an innovative shape. The wave guide of the driver is vertically asymmetrical, for precise acoustical coverage in various installation types, indoor and outdoor. The new powerful amplifier section, capable of handling up to 1600 W RMS power, is controlled by a DSP, which allows detailed customization of the output sound. The DSP can recognize if two INGENIA IG5TRs are installed together, stacked or flown, through special IR communication ports, enabling digital steering for them to sound as one single source with selectable inclination.

Mechanics and Connections
Handles and Mounting Points
The loudspeaker features two handles on each side for easy handling (A). Two mechanical fixing points (B) are located on each side for stacked and flown configurations, requiring dedicated accessories. An LP-1 bracket (C) is pre-mounted on the back for stacking up to two IG5TR loudspeakers. An IR port (D) on the top facilitates speaker communication for 2-speaker configurations.

I/O and Control Panel
The rear amplifier control panel houses the DSP and all connections:
- 1: RDNet Data In / Data Out
- 2: OLED display
- 3: Balanced audio input and output link
- 4: Status LEDs (Signal, Status, Peak)
- 5: C-type USB port for firmware update
- 6: Push rotary encoder
- 7: Full-range Mains input
- 8: Mains Link output

Power Supply Specifications (Power Absorption)
Power absorption varies based on usage:
- At 1/8 of full power (average use): 1 A (230Vac) - 1.9 A (115Vac)
- At 1/3 of full power (heavy use): 2.2 A (230Vac) - 4.4 A (115Vac)
- Idle (powered on, no signal): 0.22 A (230Vac) - 0.47 A (115Vac)
Installer Notes: These values are for sizing minimum requirements or for heavy use scenarios, respectively.
Turn On and I/O Settings
Audio Signal Connection: Connect the audio source to the input socket (6). Use XLR connectors (not supplied) to link audio signals to other loudspeakers, connecting the Output Link (5) of the first speaker to the balanced Input of the second, and so on.
Diagram Description: Shows an audio source connected to the first loudspeaker's balanced input, and a link output from the first to the second loudspeaker's balanced input.
Power Connection: Use the supplied POWERCON TRUE1 cable for the mains input (8). To power additional speakers, connect the Mains Link output (9) of the first speaker to the Mains Input of the second speaker. Refer to the user manual for maximum linked modules.
Diagram Description: Shows the first loudspeaker connected to a power source via its mains input, and its mains link output connected to the second loudspeaker's mains input.
Remote Control Connection: Connect the Data Input of the loudspeaker to a hardware remote controller (RDNet Control 2 or RDNet Control 8) using etherCON cables. Link the Data Output of the first speaker to the Data Input of the second speaker. Refer to the respective RDNet controller manuals.
Diagram Description: Shows RDNet Control 2/8 connected to the first loudspeaker's Data In, and the first loudspeaker's Data Out linked to the second loudspeaker's Data In.
Configurations
Speaker Configurations
The IG5TR supports various configurations:
- 1. Stacked configuration: IG5TR, GSA-IG5TR mounting adapter, IGS1 subwoofer
- 2. Stacked configuration: IG5TR, GSA-IG5TR mounting adapter, IGS2 subwoofer
- 3. Flown configuration: DRK-IG5TR, 2x IG5TR, 2x LP-1
Multiple Speaker Notes
For multiple-speaker configurations (stacked or flown):
- The upper speaker must be mounted upside down to maintain correct sound coverage.
- When two IG5TRs are recognized via IR communication, the DSP acts as a custom delay line for the transducers to direct the final acoustical coverage (Steering). This parameter can be set via the speaker display.
Refer to the accessories user manual for more details on allowed configurations.
Setup
The internal DSP allows for easy installation and quick configuration of the IG5TR. Settings are saved for future use, even after power off. System parameters can be edited using the rotative encoder.
Main Menu Options:
- Preset: Save and load up to 3 custom presets, load the factory preset, or load a preset from AURORA Net.
- DSP: Set acoustical data (Gain, Delay, High Pass Filter), steering, and beam value.
- Settings: Configure detection mode, activate display standby, adjust display brightness, and set ambient temperature.
- Info: View amplifier temperature (Status), loudspeaker Model, firmware, and bootloader versions.
- Reset: Delete user presets and restore factory defaults.
