1. Preparation

2. Insert Nano-SIM Card

Open the slot cover on the underside of the GigaCube. Then, insert the SIM card with the chip (platine) facing upwards.

3. Power on the Device

4. Internet Access

WLAN: You can find the pre-set network name (SSID) and password for the WLAN on the device sticker. Use this information to connect your wireless devices to the internet.

5. Device Settings

You can change the device settings via the GigaCube configuration website: http://giga.cube

  1. Check the label on your device for the default address and the device manager's website password.
  2. Start your internet browser and enter the device manager's website address in the browser's address bar.
  3. Enter the website password and click 'Login'.
  4. On the website, you can now change the WLAN name, password, or other settings.

RJ-45 Network Cable: Connect the device via WAN/LAN1 or LAN2 to your computer. You can then use the internet there.

Telephone Function

NOTE: You can only use this service if it is included in your contract. If in doubt, ask your network provider.

Your device has a telephone function. To use it, insert your Nano-SIM card and connect your phone.

To make a call:

  1. Pick up the receiver.
  2. Dial the phone number.
  3. Wait for the other party to answer.

Troubleshooting

I cannot connect to the Internet.

I cannot access the GigaCube Configuration Website (http://giga.cube).

I can only download and upload very slowly.

Speed depends on signal strength. Check your GigaCube's configuration page for reported issues and verify the signal strength. Also, check if your mobile connection is using 5G or at least 4G.

The WLAN connection between the GigaCube and your device cannot be established.

I hear no dial tone.

When I pick up the phone, I immediately get a message/alarm or an announcement.

When I pick up the phone, I hear static and distortion.

When I pick up the phone, I immediately hear a busy signal.

After entering the last digit, I hear nothing.

Problems with passwords.

High-Frequency Exposure

This device has a radio transmitter and receiver. When the transmitter is ON, the device receives and transmits RF energy. It is designed to comply with the limits recommended by international guidelines for exposure to radiofrequency waves. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP. The safety limits are intended to protect all people, regardless of age and health status.

To comply with RF exposure guidelines, use the device with a minimum distance of 20 centimeters from your body. If you do not observe this, your RF exposure may exceed the corresponding limit values, and your device may consume more power than necessary.

Limiting Exposure to Radiofrequency Fields (RF Fields)

The World Health Organization (WHO) provides the following advice for individuals who wish to reduce their exposure to RF fields in its Information Sheet 193, Electromagnetic Fields and Public Health: Mobile Phones (October 2014):

Precautions: According to current scientific knowledge, no special precautions are necessary when using mobile devices. Concerned individuals can reduce their RF exposure or that of their children by making shorter phone calls or using a hands-free device to maintain a greater distance between mobile devices and the body.

Licenses

This device can be operated in all European countries. The 5150-5350 MHz frequency band is intended for indoor use only.

Distraction

When you use a mobile device for communication, listening to music, or watching other media, it can distract you from things that require your full attention. You may also perceive your surroundings less clearly.

Operating Machinery

When operating machinery, give it your full attention. This reduces the risk of an accident.

Product Handling

You are solely responsible for how you use your device and the consequences thereof. Always turn off your device where its use is prohibited. Safety measures apply to the use of the device to protect users and their surroundings.

Small Children

Keep the device and accessories out of reach of small children. Do not let them play with it. They could injure themselves or others, or accidentally damage the device. The device has sharp small parts that can cause injuries. These parts can also detach and cause choking if swallowed.

Demagnetization

Do not keep the device near electronic devices or magnetic media. This reduces the risk of demagnetization. Avoid other magnetic sources, as they can cause malfunctions in the internal magnetometer or other sensors, leading to incorrect data.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

Do not touch the metal contacts of the SIM card or memory card.

Installation Conditions for Use

You must immediately switch off the product, disconnect it from the mains, and request assistance if any of the following events occur:

Power Supply

Only insert the battery into your device and switch it on when instructed to do so in the installation manual.

Antenna

Do not touch the device during operation, as you may accidentally touch the antenna.

Indoor Use

This product is intended for indoor use only.

Seizures/Blackouts

This device is capable of producing bright flashing lights.

Electrical Power Supply

Switch off your device and disconnect it from your computer if you are exposed to atmospheric phenomena such as lightning. The product's power supply must comply with the performance specifications indicated on the labeling labels. The power adapter must be Class II and a limited power source according to the requirements of EN 62368-1 Annex Q and meet the values indicated on your product's label. It must be tested and approved according to national or local standards.

Emergency Calls

This device operates like any wireless device using radio signals that cannot guarantee a connection under all conditions. Therefore, never rely solely on a wireless device for emergency calls.

Device Heating

Your device may warm up during normal use. Do not use the device if it is overheating (an overheating warning is displayed or it feels hot).

Medical Devices

Consult your doctor or the manufacturer of the medical device. They can tell you if the GigaCube interferes with the function of the medical device.

Hospitals

Turn off the GigaCube as instructed in hospitals, clinics, or medical facilities. This prevents potential interference with sensitive medical technology.

Aircraft

Turn off the GigaCube when instructed by airport or airline personnel.

Explosive Environments

Gas Stations and Explosive Areas

Turn off your device in explosive areas when signs instruct you to do so. This applies to wireless devices like yours or other radio devices. Explosive areas include gas stations, boat decks, transport or storage facilities for fuels or chemicals – and areas where the air contains chemicals or particles, such as grains, dust, or metal powder.

Blasting Caps and Blasting Areas

Turn off your mobile or wireless device when you are in a blasting area. Or in areas where signs instruct you to turn off two-way radios or electronic devices. This is to prevent interference with blasting operations.

Disposal and Recycling

You can dispose of or recycle your device safely and appropriately. Contact a customer service center for more information.

Adapter

The adapters designed for your device comply with the standard for the safety of information technology and office equipment. They also comply with the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EG. Due to different electrical specifications, an adapter purchased in one country may not work in another. Use the adapter only for this purpose.
