Installation
The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW200 can be placed on a flat surface or secured to a wall. Follow the step-by-step instructions for wall mounting, including marking, drilling, inserting wall plugs, and securing the base.
Cautions:
- The wall must support at least three times the camera's weight.
- Securely fix the camera according to installation instructions to prevent injury.
- Avoid installing near heat sources like air conditioning units or boiler outlets.
How to Use
Inserting a MicroSD Card
Ensure the camera is unplugged. Open the waterproof cover and insert the microSD card with contact points facing down. Use cards with FAT32 format, up to 256 GB capacity, and a read/write speed of U1/Class 10 or higher. Replace the waterproof cover after insertion.
Turning On
Connect the charging cable and power adapter. The camera turns on automatically. An indicator light will turn yellow, and a voice notification will be heard upon successful startup. A 5V/1A power adapter is required and must be purchased separately.
Indicator Status Descriptions
- Yellow: Awaiting connection
- Blinking yellow: Connecting to a network
- Blinking blue: Connecting to a server
- Blue: Connected successfully
Connecting with the Xiaomi Home App
This product works with the Xiaomi Home app for device control and interaction with other smart home devices. Scan the QR code (excluded from HTML) or search for "Xiaomi Home" in the app store to download and install the app. Follow in-app instructions to add the device. Ensure the camera is on and the network connection is stable during the process.
Resetting
Press the reset button to change the network or Xiaomi Account. A voice notification confirms completion. Resetting does not delete microSD card data.
Precautions
Operating temperature range: -20°C to 50°C. The camera has an IP65 waterproof rating; avoid extremely humid environments or direct water exposure. To optimize performance, avoid placing the lens near reflective surfaces like glass or white walls. Ensure good Wi-Fi reception and avoid placement near microwave ovens. Use only genuine charging cables.
