Test Premise
- Confirm the brand, quantity, and placement of the switches to be tested.
- Prepare control cables, test software, and optical fiber patch cords. Power on the switches in advance.
- Locate the Console port on the switch (often marked "CON", "IOIOI", or with a computer monitor icon). Connect the switch to the computer using a control cable.
- Before connecting the software, confirm the computer's COM port in the device manager.
Test Method
Steps for using SecureCRT Portable:
- Open SecureCRT Portable and enter the quick connection interface.
- Protocol selection: Serial
- Port selection: Match the COM port identified in the previous step.
- Baud rate selection: Match the baud rate of the target switch's port.
- Flow control: Do not check this option.
- Other configurations can remain at default values.
