SinoTrack ST-901L 4G GPS Tracker

Quick Start

Thank you for purchasing the SinoTrack GPS tracker. This Quick User Manual shows how to operate the device smoothly and correctly.

Website Tracking (PC Version):

Access the platform at www.sinotrackpro.com. Use the ID number on the tracker as your username and 123456 as the default password.

Application Tracking (Mobile APP):

Search for "SinoTrack PRO" on the APP Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Alternatively, download the app by scanning the QR code (represented by a square pattern with internal modules, typically used for quick access to URLs or app downloads). The server is SinoTrackPRO, with the username being the tracker's ID number and the password 123456.

For users with multiple SinoTrack GPS trackers who wish to manage them under one account, contact SinoTrack for account creation to monitor all devices simultaneously.

Setup and Installation

1. Choose GSM Card: Use a Normal SIM card without a PIN code. The device supports Normal SIM (ST-901), Micro SIM (ST-901W), but not Nano SIM.
2. Open Tracker Cover: Open the top cover of the tracker using a screw.
3. Insert GSM Card: Properly insert the GSM card. The tracker will start once an external power supply is connected.
4. Device Placement: Place the device outdoors for approximately 30 seconds. LED lights will remain lit, indicating normal operation. The GPS antenna side should face the clear sky. Avoid placing it under metal; glass and plastic are acceptable.
5. Dialing Device Number: Dial the device's number. It will hang up and reply with a tracking message containing valid longitude and latitude.
6. Set APN via SMS: Send an SMS to the tracker to set the APN (Access Point Name). The yellow highlighted area in the example is a blank space.
   SMS: 8030000 APN
   (APN is the Access Point Name of your SIM Card. Check with your SIM Card provider if unknown.)
   If the APN requires a username and password, send the command:
   SMS: 8030000 APN APNuser APNpassword
7. Set Server IP and Port via SMS: Send an SMS to set the tracker to the SinoTrack server.
   SMS: 8040000 45.112.204.245 8090
8. Online Tracking Check: If all settings are correct, you can track online. If the device is not online, check device settings by sending RCONF to the device. It will reply with the current settings, including:
   • APN correctness
   • IP and Port correctness
   • ID on platform correctness
   • Device working mode (SMS or GPRS model)

LED Status

The default password is 0000.

The default mode is normal working (ACC Mode).

GPS Status: 'A' means location is acquired, 'V' means invalid location.

Alarm mode is on. Alarms will be sent to the 3 control numbers.

Battery levels: 5 is 100%, 1 is 20%. Battery levels range from 1 to 5.

Wiring Connections:

The GPS tracker (a compact black device with a 4G logo and multiple colored wires) connects as follows:

• Red wire: Connects to the 12V or 24V battery positive terminal via a 2A FUSE.
• Black wire: Connects to ground (oil pump symbol indicates ground connection).
• Yellow wire: Connects to the 12V/24V relay.
• Orange wire: Connects to ACC (Accessory power).

The diagram shows the tracker connected to a vehicle's electrical system, with the red wire going to the battery positive, black to ground, yellow to a relay (which then connects to the battery and ACC), and orange directly to ACC. The relay also has connections for 12V/24V power.

Functions (SMS Commands)

1. Set Control Number:
   Command: Number+pass+blank+serial
   Sample: 139504434650000 1
13950443465 is the mobile number, 0000 is the password, 1 means the first control number. When the tracker replies "SET OK", the setting is confirmed. You can set second and third control numbers by changing the serial to 2 or 3.
2. Working Mode:
   The ST-901 supports both SMS and GPRS working modes.
   • SMS Mode: For mobile control and SMS-only Google location retrieval. Send:
     Command: 700+Password
     Sample: 7000000
     Reply: SET OK. The ST-901 will switch to SMS mode.
   • GPRS Mode (Default): For real-time online monitoring and long-term data storage. Send:
     Command: 710+Password
     Sample: 7100000
     Reply: SET OK. The ST-901 will switch to GPRS mode.
3. Change Password:
   Command: 777+New Password+Old password
   Sample: 77712340000
1234 is the new password, and 0000 is the old password. Reply: SET OK.
4. Get Location with Google Link:
   Command: 669+password
   Sample: 6690000
   The ST-901 will read GPS data and send back a Google Maps link. You can open the link to check the tracker's location on maps. Example link format: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=+22.64208,+114.18828 Date: 2016-5-18 Time:13:40 ID: 8160528336 Fix:A Speed:0KM/H Bat:5
5. Get Location by Phone Call:
   Call the SIM card in the tracker from any mobile phone. It will reply with a Google Maps link to the location. Example link format: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=+22.64207,+114.18829 Date: 2016-5-18 Time:13:36 ID: 8160528336 STATE:Phone ACC OFF Fix:A Speed:0KM/H Bat:5
   If the tracker is in an invalid location when called, it will reply with the last valid location. Once it acquires a new location, it will send a second SMS with the updated location.
6. Change Time Zone:
   Command: 896+password+E/W+HH
   Sample: 8960000E00 (default)
   E means East, W means West, 00 means time zone. Reply: SET OK. For example, +2 time zone is 8960000E02.
7. Send Location in Defined Time Every Day:
   The tracker will send location to the first control number.
   Command: 665+password+HHMM
HH is hour (00-23), MM is minutes (00-59).
   Sample: 66500001219
   Reply: SET OK.
   To close this function (default):
   Command: 665+password+OFF
   Sample: 6650000OFF
   Reply: SET OK.
8. Geo Fence (Alarm to First Number Only):
   To open Geo Fence:
   Command: 211+password
   Sample: 2110000
   Reply: SET OK.
   To close Geo Fence:
   Command: 210+password
   Sample: 2100000
   Reply: SET OK.
   To set the Geo Fence:
   Sample: 0050000 1000 (Geo Fence is 1000 meters)
   Reply SET OK. SinoTrack suggests a Geo Fence of more than 1000 meters.
9. Over Speed Alarm (Alarm to Control Numbers):
   Command: 122+password+Blank+XXX
   Sample: 1220000 120
   Reply: SET OK.
   XXX is the speed (0-999 KM/H). If XXX is 0, the over speed alarm is closed.
10. Mileage:
    To set initial Mileage:
    Command: 142+Password<+M+X>
X is the initial mileage in meters.
    Sample: 1420000
    Reply: MILEAGE RESET OK.
    Sample: 1420000M1000
    Reply: SET OK, CURRENT: 1000.
    To read current Mileage:
    Command: 143+password
    Sample: 1430000
    Reply: CURRENT TOTAL MILEAGE:XX. XX is the mileage in meters.
11. Shock Alarm (SMS Alarm to First Number):
    To open Shock Alarm:
    Command: 181+password+T
    Sample: 1810000T10
    Reply: SET OK.
    T is the shocking time in seconds (0-120 seconds).
    To close Shock Alarm:
    Command: 180+password
    Sample: 1800000
    Reply: SET OK.
12. Low Battery Alarm (SMS to First Number):
    When the battery is low, the tracker sends a Low Power Alarm SMS to the first control number.
    Battery levels: Bat:5 (100%), Bat:4 (80%), Bat:3 (60%), Bat:2 (40%), Bat:1 (20%). A low battery alarm is sent when the battery is at Bat:1.
13. ACC On Alarm:
    To open ACC on alarm by SMS:
    Command: 886+password
    Sample: 8860000
    Reply: SET OK.
    To close ACC on alarm by SMS:
    Command: 887+password
    Sample: 8870000
    Reply: SET OK.
    To open ACC on alarm by phone call:
    Command: 888+password
    Sample: 8880000
    Reply: SET OK.
    To close ACC on alarm by phone call:
    Command: 889+password
    Sample: 8890000
    Reply: SET OK.
14. Cut Engine Remotely:
    To cut engine:
    Command: 940+password
    Sample: 9400000
    After receiving the command, the tracker will cut the engine and reply "SET OK".
    To recover engine:
    Command: 941+password
    After receiving the command, the tracker will recover the engine and reply "SET OK".
15. Call Mode:
    To turn Call mode on:
    Command: 150+password
    Sample: 1500000
    Reply: SET OK.
    When call mode is on, alarms will trigger a call and send SMS to the control number.
    To turn Call mode off:
    Command: 151+password
    Sample: 1510000
    Reply: SET OK.
    When call mode is off, only SMS alarms are sent.
16. Set APN:
    Command 1 (without user/pass):
    Command: 803+password+Blank+APN
    Sample: 8030000 INTERNET
    Reply: SET OK.
    Command 2 (with user/pass):
    Command: 803+password+Blank+APN+Blank+APN user+Blank+APN pass

    For example, for a common MTS SIM card in Russia: APN: internet.mts.ru, Username: mts, Password: mts. Sample command: 8030000 internet.mts.ru mts mts
17. Set IP and Port:
    Command: 804+password+Blank+IP+Blank+Port
    Sample: 8040000 45.112.204.245 8090
    Reply: SET OK.
18. Set Time Interval:
    ACC on time interval (default is 20 seconds):
    Command: 805+password+Blank+T
    Sample: 8050000 20
    Reply: SET OK.
    T is the time interval in seconds (0-18000 seconds). T=0 means GPRS is closed.
    ACC off time interval (default is 180 seconds):
    Command: 809+password+Blank+T
    Sample: 8090000 180
    Reply: SET OK.
    T is the time interval in seconds (0-18000 seconds). T=0 means GPRS is closed.
    The minimum time interval is 10 seconds.

Login to the tracking platform at www.sinotrackpro.com or http://45.112.204.245. If you use a SinoTrack tracker, the tracking software is available for FREE.

You can also download the SinoTrack PRO mobile application from the website or app stores to track on your mobile device.

Other Functions

1. RESTART:
   The tracker will restart.
2. RCONF (Read Configuration):
   This command reads the current configuration of the tracker. The tracker will reply with a detailed status report, for example:
