Desktop Installation
Place the PoE extender on a flat, stable surface.
Wall-mount Installation
The device can also be mounted on a wall using appropriate hardware (not included).
4. Network Application
This section illustrates a typical networking solution using the WI-PE31E.
Installation Steps:
- Connect the first PoE extender to a PoE port on a switch compatible with 802.3af/at/bt, or connect a DC adapter for power.
- Connect the second PoE extender to the first PoE extender via its PoE input port.
- Connect an IP camera or other PoE device to the second PoE extender via its PoE output port.
Note: It is recommended not to use more than 4 PoE extenders in a single chain.
Diagram Description: The diagram shows a network setup where a PoE switch connects to a series of PoE extenders. The first extender receives power and data from the switch. Subsequent extenders are connected in series, extending the reach. The final extender powers an IP camera. The diagram indicates that data and power can be transmitted up to 100 meters between extenders in the standard mode, and up to 250 meters in the extended mode (with a reduced speed of 10Mbps).
