DALS Smart Lighting: Android App Setup and Control Guide
A. Download and Set Up the DALS App
Follow these steps to download and set up the DALS Connect app on your Android device.
Step 1: Download the App
Download the "Dals Connect" application from Google Play. [Get it on Google Play]
Step 2: Create or Sign In
Open the application. Click on "Create account" or "Sign in" if you already have an account.
Step 3: Privacy Policy and Terms
Please read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Click "Agree" to acknowledge and accept the contents of the policy.
Step 4: Account Creation - Email
Define your country and enter your email address. Click on "Get Verification Code".
Step 5: Verification Code
You will receive a verification code at the email address provided in Step 4. Enter the code in the designated space.
Step 6: Set Password
Once the account is created, enter your password. Click on "Done".
B. Connect and Add Smart Lighting Products
Learn how to connect your DALS smart lighting products to the app.
Step 1: Open Dals Connect App
Open the Dals Connect app. To add a product, click on "Add Device" or the [+] icon at the top right corner.
Step 2: Select Product
Choose the product you want to add from the proposed choices.
Step 3: Wi-Fi Connection
Connect your device to your Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi name and password. Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported. In the "Search for Device" tab, ensure "Enable Wi-Fi" is active. If you have a Bluetooth device, also "Enable Bluetooth". If unsure, enable all permissions.
Step 4: Device Pairing Preparation
To add your product, follow these steps: 1. Power on the device. 2. Turn the device On-Off-On-Off-On (refer to User Manual). 3. Ensure the light is blinking rapidly. Click on "Confirm indicator rapidly blink".
Step 5: Enter Wi-Fi Password
Enter your Wi-Fi password. Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported.
Step 6: Connecting Device
Your device is now connecting to your Wi-Fi network. Place your router, mobile phone, and device as close as possible. If the connection fails, ensure the previous steps were completed correctly and repeat if needed.
Step 7: Device Added Successfully
Your device has been added successfully. Click on "Done".
Step 8: Name Your Device
You can name your devices here to help organize your device list in the menu.
Step 9: Device on Home Screen
Your device will appear on your home screen. You can directly manage all your lighting products here.
C. Light Up Your World with DALS
Explore the features for controlling your DALS smart lights.
Step 1: Direct Management
You can directly manage all your lighting products from the menu by toggling On/Off or clicking on a device for full customization.
Step 2: Actions - Scenarios & Automation
Scenarios: Allow controlling multiple devices with one tap or via voice commands through an AI speaker. Automation: Executes automatically based on conditions like weather, device status, or time.
Step 3: Automation Setup
To set up automation, click "Add Automation Scenario". Select a condition by clicking the [+] icon, then do the same for the action. Enter the period for the automation to occur. Edit the name, picture, and click "Save".
Step 4: Account Settings
Set up your profile, secure your account, and connect to AI speakers like Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Click the "Help Center" button for assistance.
Step 5: Device Customization
Once you select a device, you can set its colors, create multiple scenes, and configure schedules.
Step 6: Colors
In the "Presets" section, you can edit preselected colors, enter new colors, and save them.
Step 7: Scenes
In the "Presets" section, select or create your own home atmosphere. Click "Edit" to personalize your scene.
Step 8: Scene Personalization
After clicking "Edit", you can change the scene name, create your own color composition, select the conversion mode (Static/Flash/Breath), and adjust the conversion speed.
Step 9: Schedules
Configure time actions by clicking "Add timing" to toggle lights On/Off at specific times.
Step 10: Schedule Setup
Once "Add timing" is clicked, set the time and select how often the device should switch On/Off.
Main Color Remote Control: Features include selecting a device, setting brightness, color temperature (e.g., Hot 3000 K, Cold 5000 K), On/Off toggle, RGB Circle, and presets. The toolbar provides access to Home, Colors, Scenes, and Schedules.
D. Google Assistant Integration
Connect your DALS devices with Google Assistant for voice control.
Step 1: Open Google Home App
Open the Google Home app and click "Add", then "Set up device".
Step 2: Link Service
Click on "Have something already set up?" under "Works with Google".
Step 3: Search for Skill
In the search box, enter "Magic Home WiFi" and select it.
Step 4: Login and Link Account
Log in with your current account, the same one used during the app setup ("A4" step).
Step 5: Device Listing
Your DALS smart devices will be listed in the "Home" section. Adding devices to a room enables commands like "turn on the living room lights".
Step 6: Voice Commands
Use commands like: "Ok Google, turn on light name", "Ok Google, dim light name", "Ok Google, set light name to 20%", "Ok Google, turn light name to red", "Ok Google, turn on/off everything", "Ok Google, is light name on?".
E. Amazon Alexa Integration
Connect your DALS devices with Amazon Alexa for voice control.
Step 1: Open Alexa App
Open the Amazon Alexa app and click the menu icon [☰] at the top left corner, then click on "Skills & Games".
Step 2: Search for DALS Connect Skill
In the search box, enter "Dals Connect".
Step 3: Enable Skill
You should see the "Dals Connect" skill appear in the search results. Tap on it to enable access.
Step 4: Link Account
You will need to link your device. Log in with your current account, the same account used during the app setup ("A4" step).
Step 5: Device Listing and Control
Your smart devices will be listed in the "Devices" tab. Adding devices to a room enables commands like "turn on the living room lights".
