How to Install Huawei HiLink App for 4G CAR WiFi
This guide explains how to install the Huawei HiLink App, which allows you to check detailed information such as SMS, send/receive network status, and change SSID/Wi-Fi passwords for your 4G CAR WiFi device.
Downloading the App
You can download the 4G CAR WiFi App from the following sources:
- iOS Device: App Store (for iPhone)
- Android Device: Play Store
Installation Steps
Step 1: Access the App Store
On your device's Home screen, select the 'App Store' icon.
Step 2: Search for the App
Tap on the 'Search' tab (magnifying glass icon) at the top of the App Store.
Step 3: Enter Search Term
In the search bar, type 'huawei hilink' and press search. The search result will display the app; select it.
Step 4: Download the App
Once the Huawei HiLink App appears in the search results, tap the 'GET' button to download it.
Step 5: Enter Apple ID (if applicable)
If prompted, enter your Apple ID and password. If you are not signed into your Apple ID, you will need to enter both your Apple ID and password.
Step 6: Confirm and Finish
After entering your credentials, press 'OK' to complete the download and installation process.
Step 7: App Downloading Progress
The app will show its downloading progress. Once completed, the Huawei HiLink app icon will appear on your device.
Step 8: Open the Huawei HiLink App
Locate and tap the Huawei HiLink app icon on your device's home screen.
Step 9: Initial Setup (Swipe Screens)
For the first usage, you will encounter introductory pages. Swipe the screen to the left to proceed through these pages.
- Page 1: Introduces the new Huawei HiLink app, noting that it merges the Mobile WiFi and RuMate apps for enhanced features and a streamlined experience.
- Page 2: Highlights the ability to prevent unauthorized access by listing connected users and adding them to a blacklist.
- Page 3: Features a 'Quick sharing' option that allows easy sharing of music, pictures, files, and apps. Tap 'Start' to proceed.
Step 10: Select Device
On the '[Select device]' page, if you are using the app with a 4G CAR WiFi, select '3G/4G wireless routers'.
Step 11: Check Device Status
The app's main page will display the device status. Initially, it may show 'Device disconnected'.
Step 12: Connect to Network
If you are already connected to Wi-Fi and 4G CAR WiFi, wait approximately 5-15 seconds for the system to establish a connection. Once connected, the app will display signal level, network information, and the network operator.
Example: Connecting to the 4G network of 'Real Future' with a 'Real Move SIM' card will show a 'Roaming status'.
