Monster DNA MAX Speaker

Speaker Function Operation

Control your Monster DNA MAX speaker with the following button functions:

  • Power Button: Press once to answer/end call or play/pause music. Press and hold for 2s to power on/off or reject a call.
  • Volume + / Next Track: Press once for volume up. Press and hold for 2s for the next track.
  • Volume - / Previous Track: Press once for volume down. Press and hold for 2s for the previous track.
  • Monster Share™, Party Mode: Press and hold for 2s to set as the transmitting speaker. Press once to set as a receiving speaker. Connect up to 99 Monster DNA Speakers.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Button: Press and hold for 2s for Bluetooth pairing.
  • Charging Port (USB-C™): Connect your USB-C cable here.
  • Battery Level Indication: Press and hold the "-" and "+" buttons simultaneously for 1s to check battery level.

Device Overview

The Monster DNA MAX speaker features the following physical controls and ports:

  • ? LED Ring: Located around the top/front of the speaker, indicates status.
  • ⚙️ Power Button: Located on the top surface.
  • ➕▶️ Volume + / Next Track Button: Located on the top surface.
  • ➖◀️ Volume - / Previous Track Button: Located on the top surface.
  • ? Monster Share™ Party Mode Button: Located on the top surface.
  • ? Bluetooth Pairing Button: Located on the side of the speaker.
  • ? USB Type-C™ Charging Port: Located on the side/bottom of the speaker.
  • ? Wireless Charging Base: An accessory for wireless charging.
  • ? LED Indicator: Located on the Wireless Charging Base.

Pairing Instructions

First-Time Pairing

  1. Press and hold the Power button (⚙️) for approximately 2s to turn on the speaker.
  2. The speaker will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by the LED Ring (?) flashing blue in a clockwise motion.
  3. Activate Bluetooth on your device and search for "Monster DNA MAX" speaker.
  4. Upon successful connection, the LED Ring (?) will light up blue for 3s before turning off.

Manual Pairing (for another device)

  1. After powering on, the speaker attempts to connect to the last paired device.
  2. To pair a new device, press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing Button (?) for 2s. The LED Ring (?) will flash blue in a clockwise motion.
  3. Activate Bluetooth on your device and search for "Monster DNA MAX" speaker.
  4. Short press the Bluetooth Pairing button (?) again to disconnect.

Bluetooth Mode Operations

  1. Press the Volume +/- button (➕/➖) once for volume up/down.
  2. Press and hold the Volume +/- button (➕/➖) for 2s for next/previous track.
  3. Press the Power button (⚙️) once to start music play/pause.
  4. Press the Power button (⚙️) once to answer or end an incoming call.
  5. Press and hold the Power button (⚙️) for 2s to reject an incoming call.

Charging

USB-C Charging

Connect the included USB-C cable (?) to the speaker's USB Type-C™ port and a USB power source (e.g., USB-C wall adapter).

Wireless Charging

Connect the Wireless Charging Base (?) to a wall adapter and place the speaker directly on it.

Charging Indicators

  • The LED Ring (?) will 'breathe' with a white glow while charging.
  • Once fully charged, the LED Ring (?) will show a solid white light for 5s, then turn off.

Charging Out (Power Bank Function)

Connect your device (e.g., smartphone) to the speaker's Charging Port (?). Charging will start automatically.

Monster Share™, Party Mode

Connect multiple Monster DNA MAX speakers for a shared audio experience.

  1. Turn on all Monster DNA speakers you wish to connect by pressing and holding the Power button (⚙️) for 2s.
  2. Connect to one Monster DNA speaker via Bluetooth. Press and hold the 'Monster Share™ Party Mode' button (?) for 2s to set it as the main transmitting speaker. A flashing purple light indicates Party Mode transmission pairing mode.
  3. Single press the 'Monster Share™ Party Mode' button (?) on all other speakers to set them as receiving speakers. A green light will flash in a circle during pairing and turn solid green once paired.
  4. If speakers are not paired within 30s, 'Monster Share™ Party Mode' pairing will time out. Restart the process to connect additional speakers.
  5. Press the 'Monster Share™ Party Mode' button (?) again to exit Party Mode.

*Monster Share™ Party Mode works with compatible Monster Speakers enabled with Monster Share™ technology.

Auto Power Off

The speaker will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of no connection or idling to conserve power.

Safety and Compliance Information

Charging Unit

This Bluetooth device must be charged using the supplied charging unit only.

Cautions

  • Batteries are not replaceable.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures (low or high) during use, storage, or transportation. High temperatures may cause explosion or leakage.
  • Dispose of the unit responsibly; do not dispose of in fire, oven, or by crushing/cutting, as this can cause explosion.
  • Do not dispose of the unit in fire or water.
  • Never attempt to disassemble or reassemble the unit.
  • Recycle waste electrical products; check local authority for advice.
  • Keep device and accessories away from children and animals to prevent choking or injury.
  • Avoid very cold (below 0° C) or very hot (above 45° C) temperatures, which can deform the device and reduce charging capacity/life.
  • Do not expose the device to liquids, as this can cause serious damage.
  • Do not handle the device with wet hands.
