The StarTech.com TB4USB4DOCK is a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 compliant docking station designed to maximize performance and flexibly support your evolving workspace. It provides stable connectivity with various devices and ensures a comfortable work environment.
With Intel 12th Gen or later CPUs and DP 1.4 (DSC compliant), this docking station allows you to connect up to 4 displays at 4K60Hz simultaneously on Windows laptops. For older systems, it supports flexible multi-display configurations of 2-3 screens.
For MacBook Air/Pro equipped with M3 or M4 chips, you can utilize up to 2 extended 4K displays, requiring clamshell mode for M3. It also supports dual displays for MacBook Pro models equipped with M1/M2 (Pro or Max chip models only). Apple products with only the M-series base processor are limited to single display output.
A full-spec 180W power adapter is included, capable of charging your laptop with up to 98W. The downstream USB 2.0 ports also provide charging for mobile devices like tablets and smartphones with 7W (1.5A) compliant with BC 1.2.
StarTech.com's "Connectivity Tools" is a practical utility software that supports device management and operational efficiency in modern IT environments. Windows 4-Display Support
Connect to Windows laptops with Intel 12th Gen CPUs (or later) and DP 1.4 (DSC compliant) to enable simultaneous output to up to 4 4K60Hz monitors. It also supports 3-screen or 2-screen output on older systems without DSC support.
Mac Dual (2-Display) Support
With MacBook Air/Pro (M3 or M4 equipped), dual 4K60Hz monitor extended display is possible using clamshell mode (laptop lid closed). For M1/M2 equipped MacBook Pro, dual extended display is supported only for Pro or Max chip models. Apple products with only the M-series base processor are limited to single display output.

Notes and Requirements
- This docking station functions with USB 4, or USB-C host ports. For maximum performance, using Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 ports is recommended.
- This product's DisplayPort video output ports do not support the use of passive DisplayPort adapters.
- This product supports up to 4-display output using MST (Multi-Stream Transport). However, macOS devices are limited to a maximum of 2 external displays.
- Jumbo frames are no longer supported on macOS.
