Overview
This USB-C Multiport Adapter with DP 1.4 Alt Mode supports 4K 60Hz HDMI (HDR) and transforms your MacBook, Dell XPS, or other USB-C laptop or tablet into a workstation on the go. The USB Type-C Multiport Adapter features a 4K HDMI video output, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (5Gbps), and a Gigabit Ethernet port, all through a single connection to your laptop's USB-C, USB4, or Thunderbolt 3/4 port. It also offers advanced charging and flexibility via a shared USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 and data port. This port can be used to connect peripherals when no power source is connected, at USB 2.0 (480Mbps) data transfer speeds. The Multiport Adapter includes an extra-long 30cm (12in) host cable for extended reach and greater setup flexibility.
The portable docking station allows connection of a 4K 60Hz (4096 x 2160p) HDMI monitor, or an ultrawide monitor, to your laptop to create a powerful workstation. The USB-C to USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub features three USB-A (5Gbps) ports for connecting your USB devices.
This versatile docking solution is suitable for your office desk, home office, hotel desk, or boardroom. It's portable enough to fit in your bag or backpack for mobile use. This lightweight USB-C adapter can be bus-powered. Alternatively, connect your laptop's USB-C power adapter to power and charge your laptop and USB peripherals.
With support for USB Power Delivery 3.0 pass-through (up to 100W), the USB Type-C multiport adapter allows you to power and charge your laptop when connected to a USB-C power source. PD 3.0 features Fast Role Swap (FRS) to prevent USB data interruption when switching power sources (from USB-C power adapter to bus power).
The Gigabit Ethernet port ensures reliable wired network access, with support for PXE Boot and WoL.

System Requirements and Cables
A host device with an available USB-C port (to ensure full adapter functionality, the host device's USB-C port must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 and DP alt mode).
Optional: USB-C power adapter (e.g., your laptop's USB-C power adapter).
Note
Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C standard. Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery and DP alt mode.
The adapter can connect to the USB-C port of a host laptop that does not support USB Power Delivery. In this configuration, pass-through power will not be available.
A 4K-capable display is required to achieve 4096 x 2160p / 3840 x 2160p resolution.
A 4K-capable computer is required to achieve 3840 x 2160p resolution (4K is also known as 4K x 2K).
USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) and USB 3.0 (5Gbps).
Your laptop may have specific charging requirements. For example, if your laptop requires exactly 60W of power and an adapter consumes part of the 60W, your laptop might not recognize that it is receiving sufficient power. For more information on power delivery, consult your hardware manufacturer.
