Jabra Evolve 65 MS Stereo: Manual Firmware Update via Jabra Direct
This guide explains how to manually update the firmware on your Jabra Evolve 65 MS Stereo device using Jabra Direct.
Prerequisites
- Ensure you have the latest version of Jabra Direct installed.
If a firmware update is available for your Jabra device, follow these guidelines:
- Update the firmware manually.
- Recover from an unsuccessful firmware update.

Update the Firmware
- Turn on and connect your Jabra device to your computer. This can be done using the USB cable, Jabra Link Bluetooth adapter, or Jabra Link DECT adapter, depending on your product.
- Open Jabra Direct and select your device.
If a firmware update is available, an "Update now" button will be displayed.
The Jabra Direct application interface shows the Jabra Evolve2 65 and Jabra Link 380 devices. Both devices have an "Update now" button available.
Initiating the Update
- Click the "Update now" button, or select the "Updates" icon from the left-hand menu to open the Updates window.
- Next to your listed device, click "Update" to open the update dialog.
Completing the Update
- Select your preferred language from the drop-down menu and click "Update".
- Continue the update process by following any on-screen instructions. Do not disconnect your device at any point during the update.
The update dialog shows the current firmware version and the version it will be updated to. It also provides a warning not to disconnect the device during the update.
Upon successful firmware update, a confirmation message will appear, typically with an "OK" button.
Recovering from an Unsuccessful Firmware Update
If a firmware update was unsuccessful, a notification dialog will appear.
- Click "OK" on the notification dialog indicating the firmware update failure.
- Next to your listed device, click the "Recover" button to initiate the recovery process.
The recovery process involves updating the device to a new firmware version. Similar to the manual update, it is crucial not to disconnect the device during this process.
After a successful recovery, follow any further instructions to complete the update.
