How to Manually Update Jabra Device Firmware Using Jabra Direct
Prerequisites
- Jabra Direct - latest version
If a firmware update is available for your Jabra device, use the following guidelines to update the firmware manually or recover from an unsuccessful firmware update. For information about automatic firmware updates, refer to the Related Frequently Asked Questions section.
Update the Firmware
- Turn on and connect your device to your computer. This may involve connecting via a USB cable, Jabra Link Bluetooth adapter, or Jabra Link DECT adapter, depending on your product.
- In Jabra Direct, select your device. If a firmware update is available, an "Update now" button will be displayed.
- Click the "Update now" button, or the "Updates" icon in the left menu, to open the Updates window.
- Next to your listed device, click "Update" to open the update dialog.
- Select your desired language from the drop-down menu and click "Update". Do not disconnect your device at any point during the update process.
- Once the firmware has been updated successfully, follow any on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Recover from an Unsuccessful Firmware Update
- If a firmware update fails, a notification dialog will appear. Click "Ok".
- Next to your listed device, click "Recover" to open the update dialog.
- Click "Update". Do not disconnect your device at any point during this update.
- When the firmware has been updated successfully, follow any instructions to complete the update.
