Hoover Oven User Instructions

Model: HOC3H3358IN

General Instructions

Thank you for choosing a Hoover product. For the best results with your oven, please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

Before installation, note the serial number for customer service inquiries. After unpacking, check the oven for any damage during transportation. If damaged, do not use and consult a qualified technician. Keep packaging materials away from children.

Initial use may produce smoke due to the heating of insulation panels; this is normal. Wait for the smoke to dissipate before cooking. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages resulting from failure to follow instructions.

Note: Oven functions, properties, and accessories may vary by model.

1.1 Safety Indications

Use the oven only for its intended purpose (cooking food). Any other use, such as a heat source, is improper and dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damages from improper use.

Fundamental rules for electrical appliances:

1.2 Electrical Safety

Ensure an electrician or qualified technician makes electrical connections.

The power supply must conform to local laws. The oven must be connected to an earthed wall outlet or a multi-pole disconnector. The supply should be protected by suitable fuses, and cables must have adequate cross-section.

Connection:

Connect the oven to a 220-240 Vac supply. Check the power voltage and disconnector setting before connecting. The grounding wire must be connected to the power supply's earth terminal.

WARNING: Before connecting, have a qualified electrician check the continuity of the power supply's earth terminal. Failure to do so may cause accidents or problems.

Note: Keep a spare wall socket available for maintenance. Power cable replacement must be done by qualified technical staff.

1.3 Recommendations

Regular cleaning extends the oven's lifecycle. Avoid lining oven walls with aluminium foil or single-use protection, as it can melt and damage the enamel.

To prevent excessive dirt and smoke, avoid using very high temperatures; instead, extend cooking time and lower the temperature slightly. Use only dishes and baking moulds resistant to high temperatures.

1.4 Installation

The manufacturer is not obligated to perform installation. Faults arising from incorrect installation are not covered by the guarantee. Follow professional installation instructions. Incorrect installation can cause harm or injury.

The oven can be installed in a column or under a worktop. Ensure adequate ventilation for cooling and protecting internal parts. Refer to the last page for specific openings.

1.5 Waste Management and Environmental Protection

This appliance is labelled according to the WEEE Directive. Dispose of waste responsibly to recover materials and manage pollutants.

Basic rules:

When buying a new appliance, the old one can be returned to the vendor.

Saving and Respecting the Environment:

Avoid pre-heating when possible and fill the oven. Open the door infrequently. Switch off the oven 5-10 minutes before the end of cooking to use residual heat. Keep seals clean to prevent heat loss. Use the "delayed cooking" program for energy saving during off-peak hours.

1.6 Declaration of Compliance

The [CE mark] on the appliance confirms compliance with relevant European safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Product Description

2.1 Overview

The oven includes:

Diagram shows an oven with numbered components: 1. Control panel, 2. Shelf positions, 3. Metal grill, 4. Drip pan, 5. Fan, 6. Oven door.

2.2 Accessories

1. Metal grill: Holds baking trays and plates.

2. Drip pan: Collects residues that drip during cooking on the grills. It is used with the Grill, Rotisserie, or Fan Assisted Grill functions. Never use it as a roasting tray.

3. Lateral wire grids: Located on both sides of the oven cavity, they hold metal grills and drip pans.

4. Grill pan set: Includes a tray holder shelf ideal for grilling, used in conjunction with the drip tray. A handle is included for safe handling. The simple shelf can take moulds and dishes. The tray holder shelf is especially good for grilling. The special profile of the shelves keeps them horizontal even when pulled out, preventing dishes from sliding or spilling. The drip tray catches juices from grilled foods and is only used with specific grill functions.

Use of the Oven

2.3 First Use

Preliminary Cleaning:

ATTENTION: The oven will only operate once the clock is set.

3.2 Using the End of Cooking Timer

This feature allows you to set the desired end time for cooking.

Example: For a dish requiring 45 minutes of cooking, to be ready by 12:30, select the function, set cooking time to 45 minutes, and end of cooking time to 12:30. The oven will start automatically at 11:45.

At the set end time, the oven will switch off automatically and an alarm will sound.
