Model Specifications
The following table details the recommended DC breaker, AC breaker, and RCD ratings for each inverter model.
Model | ① DC Breaker | ② AC Breaker | ③ AC Breaker | ④ | ⑤ Main Breaker | ⑥⑦ 30mA RCD |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
HYS-3.0LV-EUG1 | 100A/60V DC Breaker | 20A/230V AC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker | Depends on Loads | Main Breaker | 30mA RCD |
HYS-3.6LV-EUG1 | 125A/60V DC Breaker | 20A/230V AC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker | |||
HYS-4.6LV-EUG1 | 125A/60V DC Breaker | 25A/230V AC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker | |||
HYS-5.0LV-EUG1 | 125A/60V DC Breaker | 32A/230V AC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker | |||
HYS-6.0LV-EUG1 | 125A/60V DC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker | 40A/230V AC Breaker |
Notes:
- If the battery has an integrated DC breaker, no additional ① DC breaker is required.
- The use of ⑥⑦ 30mA RCD is recommended but not mandatory; please comply with local regulations for system installation.
5 Electrical Connection
Step 1 Grounding Protection Wire
Connect the grounding wire (S≥6mm²) to the inverter's ground terminal using an M4 screw (1.2 N·m). Ensure proper wire stripping (7-8mm and 20-25mm).
Step 2 Grid Connection (Same wirings for GEN connector, leave it alone if not used)
Connect the Grid or Generator connector using MC4 connectors. Ensure proper wire stripping (13mm-18mm) and torque (M6, 2 N·m).
Step 3 EPS Connection
Connect the EPS connector using appropriate terminals and torque.
Step 4 PV Connection
Connect PV+ and PV- MC4 connectors to the inverter. Use wires with a diameter of 4-5mm and a cross-sectional area between 2.5mm² and 4mm².
Step 5 Battery Connection
Connect Battery+ and Battery- connectors to the inverter. Use wires with a cross-sectional area of 20-25mm².
6 Signal Communication
RJ45 Terminal Connection (METER, BMS)
Connect METER and BMS devices to the inverter using RJ45 cables, following the port assignments shown in the diagrams.
Step 7 Data Transfer Stick (DTS)
Wi-Fi Connection:
Mount the DTS, connect the antenna, and establish a Wi-Fi connection.
Ethernet Connection:
Connect an Ethernet cable to the DTS for network communication.
Signal Communication Pinout
A table details the function of various terminals including Meter (RS485), BMS (CAN, RS485, NTC), DRM, DI (Dry-contact input), Parallel operation terminals, 120 Ohm termination resistor, and DO1/DO2 (Dry-contact output) for control functions like Earth Fault Alarm, Load Control, etc.
6 DTS Online Setting
Follow these steps to set up the DTS online using the Hoymiles Installer App:
- Search for “Hoymiles” in the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android), or scan the QR code to download the Hoymiles Installer App.
- Open the app and log in with your installer account and password. New installers should apply for an account from their distributor in advance.
- Use the App to connect to the DTS:
(a) Open the Installer App on your smartphone/tablet and log in. Click on “O&M” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Network Configuration”.
4. Network configuration:
(a) Upon successful connection, click on “Network Configuration” again to access the Network Configuration page.
(b) Select your router’s Wi-Fi and enter the password.
(c) Click on “Send to DTU”.
5. Check the DTS indicator for a solid blue light, which signifies a successful connection. The network configuration takes about 1 minute; please be patient. If the network is not connected, please check the internet as instructed.
