Compatibility

This table outlines the compatibility of different JBC modules and pedals with the DME and DDE control units, based on the tool and cartridge range.

Control Unit Stand Tool Cartridge Range Modules Pedals
MSE MVE MNE P005 P305 P405
DDE
DME
ADS T210 C210
T245 C245

Note: A filled circle (●) indicates compatibility. If a pedal (P405, P005) is not directly compatible with the DDE or DME control units, a module must be used, and the pedals connect to the module.

Working Screen

The DME provides an intuitive user interface for quick access to station parameters. The default PIN is 0105.

The working screen displays temperature, selected temperature, power percentage, and tool information. It also allows adjustments via '+' and '-' buttons.

Troubleshooting: Suggestions for resolving problems are available on the JBC website: www.jbctools.com/troubleshooting-soldering-station.html

Main Menu

The main menu provides access to various settings and utilities:

MSE / Pedal Initial Configuration

After connecting the MSE electric desoldering module, a setup window appears.

  1. Press "Setup" to configure the electric suction module.
  2. Select the desired module and pedal from the list, assigning connections (e.g., PD_a, PD_b).
  3. Select the tool port to link with the peripheral.
  4. Press Menu or Back to save changes. Configuration can be modified later via the peripherals menu.

Port Simultaneous Control

Real-time information for all ports can be viewed by pressing the tool image on the working screen.

The working screen displays the status (Hibern., Sleep) and temperature of each connected tool.

Operation

JBC's soldering system offers efficient soldering with rapid tip temperature restoration, allowing for lower working temperatures and improved solder joint quality. Sleep and Hibernation modes further reduce tip temperature, extending tip life up to 5 times.

  1. Work: When the tool is removed from the stand, the tip heats to the selected temperature.
  2. Sleep: When the tool is in the stand, the temperature drops to the preset sleep temperature.
  3. Hibernation: After prolonged inactivity, power is cut, and the tip is maintained at ambient temperature.

Work Temperature: Adjust between 90-450°C using the '+' and '-' buttons on the screen.

Temperature Levels: Enable and adjust levels via Menu > Tools > Set temperature levels.

Sleep Delay: Set between 0-60 min or No Sleep via Menu > Tools.

Sleep Temperature: Adjust via Menu > Tools > Sleep Temperature.

Hibernation Delay: Set between 0-60 min or No Hibernation via Menu > Tools.

Update Process

Do not turn off the unit during the update. The screen may turn on and off automatically. The installation is complete when the update bar is full and the work screen is displayed.

If the process stops for an extended period (over 30 min), restart the station and wait for the installation to complete.
