Note: If the unit is unplugged when LOCK function is active, LOCK function is turned off. The LOCK function lamp (orange) lights up when the function is active.
2 About the dust/particle sensor lamp
- After operation is started, the lamp will light green for the first minute (approx.) regardless of air impurity level.
- The responsiveness of the dust/particle sensor may be poor when airflow rate is high such as "Turbo". This is not a malfunction because the airflow rate is strong and the dust is sucked into the air inlet before it reaches the dust/particle sensor.
- If the responsiveness of the dust/particle sensor is poor, change the sensitivity setting of the sensor. (Refer to Page 15, 16)
3 About the odor sensor lamp
- If operation is started immediately after the power supply plug is inserted, the lamp will light green for the first minute (approx.).
- If odor intensity levels are unchanging, the sensor may not respond even if there is a strong odor in the air.
- The following types of odors may not be detected: pet odors that do not include ammonia, garlic odors, etc.
- As odor perception varies by person, in some cases an odor may be sensed even when the lamp is green. If the odor bothers you, switch to manual airflow rate, and select a high airflow rate. (Refer to Page 12)
The sensitivity of the odor sensor will be determined by odor levels in the first minute after the power supply plug is inserted. Insert the power supply plug when the air is clean (odor-free).
Accessories

[Diagram: Shows the air purifier with recommended placement distances: At least 40 inches (100cm) away from ceiling, at least 4 inches (10cm) away from wall, at least 12 inches (30cm) away from wall. Shows airflow direction.]
Pointers for good positioning
- Choose a position from where airflow can reach all areas of the room.
- Place on a stable surface. If the unit is placed on an unstable surface, vibrations from the unit may be amplified.
- If interference from the power circuit inside the unit or cables causes disturbance of TV screen images or the emission of static noise from nearby radios or stereos, move the unit to at least 7ft (2m) away from the device. Keep cordless phones and radio-controlled clocks away from the unit also.
Attention
- To avoid staining of walls, position the unit in accordance with the positioning measurements in the illustration. However, note that since this unit draws in dirty air, certain types of wall may become stained even if the measurements are adhered to. In such cases, be sure to maintain sufficient distance between the unit and the wall.
- When used for a prolonged period in the same location, the base of the unit and the floor and surrounding walls may become stained as air is drawn into air inlets near the base of the unit. Periodic cleaning is recommended.

Usage and Function
AUTO FAN
Automatic airflow rate adjustment
FAN setting ("Quiet", "Low", "Standard", "High*") is automatically adjusted according to the degree of air impurity. Purifying capacity increases as airflow rate rises. If operating sounds bother you, the airflow rate range can be changed. (Refer to Page 15, 16)
* The maximum airflow rate during AUTO FAN MODE is "High", which is less powerful than "Turbo".
Degree of air impurity corresponds to the volume of dust and the intensity of odors in the ambient air.
ECONO
Saving energy
In Power saving mode within ECONO MODE, the FAN setting automatically switches between Quiet and Low only, and power consumption and operating sounds are reduced. If the air is clean for about 5 minutes, Monitoring mode activates while active the fan starts and stops periodically. Recommended for use during sleep hours.
[Diagram: Shows ECONO MODE flow: Power saving mode (FAN setting switches between Quiet and Low). If air is clean for about 5 minutes, Monitoring mode activates (fan starts and stops periodically, dust and odors are monitored). If dust or odors are detected, the cycle restarts.]
- As the FAN setting is limited to Quiet and Low, air purifying capacity is reduced.
- As air in the room is not drawn in when the fan has stopped, the dust/particle sensor and odor sensor reduce in sensitivity. To prevent this reduction in sensitivity, turn Monitoring mode OFF. (Refer to Page 15, 16)
- FAN setting is adjusted automatically. Airflow cannot be adjusted manually.
- Monitoring mode will not activate during UV emission.
WAVE
Providing wave airflow
A gentle air current is created by switching every 5 minutes between the FAN setting Standard and Low to provide a more natural rhythm to the airflow.

Troubleshooting
About the Indicator Lamps
Check the indicator lamp and take the following actions.
[Diagram: Shows the operating panel with indicator lamps.]
Indicator lamp | Cause/Solution |
---|---|
The odor sensor lamp blinks | Blinks if the carbon filter is removed or the carbon filter unit is not pushed all the way in. (When blinking, the airflow rate decreases.) Attach the carbon filter, then insert the carbon filter unit all the way. (Page 11, 18) |
The UV ON/OFF lamp blinks | Blinks if the carbon filter is removed or the carbon filter unit is not pushed all the way in. (UV emission is not performed when blinking.) Unplug the power supply plug, attach the carbon filter, insert the carbon filter unit all the way, and then restart operation. (Page 11, 18) |
The filter replacement lamp lights up | The dust collection filter needs to be replaced in about 1 month. Use a dust collection filter for replacement. (Page 25) |

FAQs
Please check first before contacting us.
Q: Is it possible to see if UV emission is being performed while the UV function is ON?
A: For safety, the unit is structured so that UV emission cannot be seen.
Q: The sensitivity of the dust/particle sensor seems to be poor...
A: If the dust/particle sensor lens is dirty, the sensitivity may become poor, so clean it regularly. (Page 17)
In addition, the reaction time of the dust/particle sensor varies depending on the size of the room.
Adjust in accordance with the Dust/Particle Sensor Sensitivity Setting. (Page 15, 16)
If the airflow rate setting is set to a strong setting like "Turbo", the responsiveness of the dust/particle sensor may be poor. This is not a malfunction because the airflow rate is strong and the dust is sucked into the air inlet before it reaches the dust/particle sensor.
[Diagram: Shows the Dust/Particle sensor.]
Q: Can I clean the dust collection filter?
A: Maintenance of filter is not possible, but can be replaced. Do not vacuum or wash with water. (Reduced performance of the dust collection filter may result) Replace if dirt buildup is severe. (Page 18)
Q: The color of the dust collection filter is changing...
A: The dust collection filter may turn black due to the collection of dust, or turn yellow or brown due to the UV rays, but this discoloration does not affect the dust collection performance. If you are concerned, replace it. (Page 18)
Q: Can the carbon filter be washed with water?
A: It cannot be washed with water. (If you wash it with water, it will lose its shape and you will not be able to use it.) If you inadvertently washed it with water, replace it. (Page 18)
Remove the carbon filter unit from the unit and vacuum off dust with a vacuum cleaner. If odor becomes a problem, expose to airflow in a shady place. (Approx. 1 day)
If odor and dirt are still an issue even after cleaning, replace it. (Page 18)
Q: Is continuous operation possible?
A: It can be operated continuously. Stop operation regularly and clean it.
Noises
Phenomenon | Check points |
---|---|
A whistling and fluttering sound during operation | Is there a buildup of dust on the pre-filter? Clean it. (Page 17) Is the dust collection filter clogged up? Depending on usage conditions, the dust collection filter may become clogged up, shortening its service life. (Page 6) Replace the dust collection filter. (Page 18) |
The operating sound is loud | Is the dust collection filter attached properly? If not attached properly, the sound may be loud. (Page 18) |
Indicator lamps
Phenomenon | Check points |
---|---|
The indicator lamps other than the FAN/MODE/Filter replacement lamp do not light up | Is the indicator lamp brightness set to "OFF"? If indicator lamp brightness is set to "OFF", lamps other than the FAN/ MODE/Filter replacement lamps do not light up. If operation is started while the indicator lamp brightness is set to "OFF", the lamps are displayed with "DIM" brightness for about 10 seconds and then the brightness changes to "OFF". (Page 13) |
The indicator lamps turn off about 10 seconds after operation start | Are the pre-filter and dust collection filter attached? Lamps may blink when the components are removed and the unit is operated. [If a component is not attached] Unplug the power supply plug, reattach the components, and then restart operation. [If all components are attached] An electrical component is malfunctioning. Contact your dealer or the customer service center. |
The FAN lamps (" (Quiet)", " (Low)", " (Standard)", " (Turbo)") all blink at the same time | Is there a buildup of dust on the pre-filter? [If there is a buildup of dust] Unplug the power supply plug, clean the pre-filter, and then restart operation. (Page 17) [If there is no buildup of dust] An electrical component is malfunctioning. Contact your dealer or the customer service center. Is the air outlet blocked? [If the air outlet is blocked] Remove any obstacles blocking the air outlet, and then restart operation. [If the air outlet is not blocked] An electrical component is malfunctioning. Contact your dealer or the customer service center. |
Air purifier function
Phenomenon | Check points |
---|---|
There is no air purifying effect | Is it installed in a location where the airflow cannot reach, or are there obstacles around it? Choose a location where there are no obstacles and the airflow coming out of the unit can reach all areas of the room. Is the filter replacement lamp lit or blinking? Replace the dust collection filter. (Page 18) Is the carbon filter dirty? Clean it. (Page 18) |
There is an odor coming from the air outlet | Is the room temporarily filled with strong odors due to something such as many people smoking or cooking? The odor will gradually decrease as the unit operates. Did you move the unit to another room? Odor from the room the unit was previously in may still be present. Keep operating until the odor disappears. Is there anything in the room that constantly produces odors? (Paint, new furniture, wallpaper, aerosols, cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals) As continuously emitted odors cannot be completely eliminated, you should use a ventilator at the same time or run the unit in a well-ventilated room until the odor disappears. If an odor comes out of the air outlet when operation is started, set the airflow rate to "Turbo" and continue operating until the odor disappears. (Page 12) |
Other
Phenomenon | Check points |
---|---|
Air does not come out | Is the air outlet or air inlet blocked? If the air outlet is not blocked, an electrical component is malfunctioning. Contact your dealer or the customer service center. Is the odor sensor lamp blinking? Attach the carbon filter, then insert the carbon filter unit all the way. (Page 11, 18) |
The airflow rate cannot be adjusted | Is the odor sensor lamp blinking? Attach the carbon filter, then insert the carbon filter unit all the way. (Page 11, 18) |
The fan stops during operation | During ECONO MODE operation, when Monitoring mode is entered, the fan turns on and off repeatedly. (Page 14) Are you operating with the pre-filter and dust collection filter removed? If you forget to attach a component, the fan may stop to protect the electrical components. If you forgot to attach a component, remove the power supply plug, attach the component correctly, and then restart operation. |
The TV screen shows interference The radio emits static noise |
Is the TV/radio installed within 7ft (2m) of the unit, or is an indoor antenna used near the unit? Are the TV/radio power supply cords or antenna cable routed near the unit? Keep the unit as far away from the TV/radio/antenna as possible. |
