Introduction
This manual provides instructions for operating the Daikin Wireless LAN connecting adaptor (Model: BRP15B61) for Ducted Split Systems using the Daikin Airbase app.
To ensure secure control of your air conditioner, a fixed KEY associated with the SSID number of the interface will be requested by the App when a new device is connected for the first time. The KEY and SSID number are printed on the side of the interface. It is recommended to record these details for convenience.

1. Features
This app is useful in the following situations:
- Turning your Ducted Split Systems ON or OFF while outside the home.
- Checking the status of your air conditioner while outside the home (refer to Section 4: Log in "Out-of-Home").
- Customizing unit operation to your lifestyle using the On/Off Timer feature (refer to Section 7: On/Off Timer) for setting specific operation start and end times.
2. About the App
2.1. Set Up the App
To set up the app:
- From your smartphone, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download and install the Daikin Airbase app.
- The app supports:
- iPhone®: iOS v.8.0 and above.
- Android™ Phone: Android™ v.5.0 and above.
- Tap the Daikin Airbase app icon to launch it.

2.2. App menu
The App menu can be accessed by tapping the menu icon (☰) on the screen.
[About the screen]:
- The menu icon (☰) allows you to open/close the App menu.
- The current status of the connection with the system is displayed.
- "In-Home" (At home): Connected via domestic LAN, displays when operating from indoors.
- "Out-of-Home" (Not at home): Connected via server using the "Out-of-Home" function, displays when operating from outside the home.
- App menu items include:
- Home
- Log in (Not at home) "Out-of-Home"
- DEMO mode
- Add adapter
- General settings

2.3. Displayed icons
Each icon indicates the state of the unit, adapter, or settings.

- Menu icon (☰): Tap to open/close the App menu.
- Power icon (⚡): Tap to turn the unit On/Off.
- Download icon (⬇️): Indicates that a firmware update is available. Tap the unit name to update the firmware.
- Warning icon (⚠️): Indicates that an error has occurred.

3. Initial setup
3.1. Add an adapter
- Tap "Add adapter" on the App menu.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the adapter to your home network.

3.2. Set a unit name and icon
- Tap "Home" on the App menu.
- Tap the "more options" menu icon (⋮) in the top right of the screen.
- Navigate to "5.1. Overview".
- Tap "Edit the names" to set a unit name and icon (refer to Section 5.2: Edit Units).
To use the unit when outside the home, follow the procedures outlined in the subsequent sections.

3.3. Set up "Out-of-Home" (Not at home)
After completing setup, you will be able to operate the unit from outside your home.
- Tap "Home" on the App menu.
- Tap the name of the unit you wish to operate remotely (refer to Section 5.1: Overview).
- Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom right of the screen to open the Adapter settings screen (refer to Section 6.1: Operation Screen setting).
- On the Adapter settings screen, tap "Out-of-Home" (Not at home) and slide the toggle switch to ON.

4. Log in "Out-of-Home" (Not at home)
You can check the status of units or change their operation settings while outside the home.
[About the screen]:
- Enter the Login ID and password for "Out-of-Home" (Not at home) that were set in the Adapter settings screen (refer to Section 3.3: Set up "Out-of-Home").
- Optionally, check "Remember my password" to save your login details.
- Optionally, check "Auto login" to remain logged in to "Out-of-Home" at all times. This setting automatically becomes unchecked if you log out from the App menu. If the app is restarted and a connected unit is detected, a domestic LAN connection is established. If no connected units are detected, "Out-of-Home" mode starts automatically.
- Tap "Log in" to proceed.
When logged in, the text displayed on the App menu changes to "Log out (At home) "In-Home"". To log out, tap "Log out (At home)" on the App menu.
[Note] Some functions cannot be set in "Out-of-Home" mode. When operating the air conditioner from outside the home, changes may take approximately 1 minute to reflect. During this time, only the final setting change will be visible.

5. Units overview (Home)
5.1. Overview
Set icons and names for the units.
[About the screen]:
- Menu icon (☰): Tap to open/close the App menu.
- Refresh icon (?): Tap to refresh the screen.
- More options icon (⋮): Displays more options menu.
- Unit Information: Displays the icon, name, and ID of the unit. To change unit names, navigate to Section 5.2: Edit the names.
- Power icon (⚡): Tap to turn the unit On/Off.
- Unit is On (⚡): Indicates the unit is powered on.
- Unit is Off (⚪): Indicates the unit is powered off.

5.2. Edit Units
Set icons and names for the units.

- Tap to select the preferred icon for the unit.
- Enter a name for the unit.
[Note] Please enter up to 16 characters for the unit name.

6. Operation Setting
6.1. Operation Screen setting
[About the screen]:
- Power icon (⚡): Tap to turn the unit On/Off.
- Operation Mode: Displays the current operation mode. Tap to select a different mode (e.g., Auto, Cool, Fan, Heat, Dry). Displayed items may vary by unit model.
- Status Display: Shows temperature and timer status. Displayed items may vary by unit model.
- Target Temperature: Displays the target temperature. Slide the circular control or tap "+ / -" to adjust the target temperature.
- Airflow Rate: Displays the current airflow rate. Tap to set the airflow rate.
- Refresh icon (?): Tap to refresh the screen.
- On/Off Timer: Tap to access the On/Off Timer settings (refer to Section 7: On/Off Timer).
- Settings icon (⚙️): Tap to open the Adapter settings screen.

6.2. Zone Control setting
If the system is fitted with a Daikin Zone Controller, a "ZONES" tab will be displayed on the operation screen.

- Tap the "CONTROLS" or "ZONES" tab to switch between views.
- Tap to edit a zone name. You can register a name for each zone (limited to 12 characters).
- Slide the toggle switch to turn ON/OFF each ZONE.

6.3. Airflow direction setting
If the App detects a Non Ducted indoor unit (e.g., cassette type or under ceiling unit), the Airflow direction and its status symbol will be displayed.

7. On/Off Timer
7.1. Overview
The app supports an On/Off timer, allowing you to set times within the next 24 hours.
Tap the On/Off Timer icon (⏱️) button, located at the bottom of the Operation Screen.

- Displays the name of the unit.
- Displays saved actions (e.g., Turn On, Turn Off). Tap the arrow (▶️) to change these settings or make them inactive.
[Note] This mobile app timer and wired remote control timer functions work independently of each other.

7.2. Edit action
[About the screen]:
- Displays the name of the unit.
- Use the pickers (scrolling wheels) to swipe up and down to set the desired time.
- Tap "SAVE" to confirm the settings.
- Tap "INACTIVE" to disable the timer setting.

8. DEMO mode
Test the app's functions even when a unit is not connected to a network. Your smartphone must be connected to the internet to use DEMO mode.

9. General settings
9.1. Reinitialize application
When you reinitialize the application, your login ID and password will be deleted from the login history.
9.2. Temperature unit
Switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) display.

9.3. Push notification
You can turn ON/OFF notifications for the following events:
- Overrun warning: Receive a push notification if your air conditioner has been running for over 12 hours.
- On/off monitoring: Receive a push notification if someone turns the air conditioning on or off.
[Note] This feature works only when connected via "Out-of-Home" (Not at home) mode.

9.4. Dealer Contact
This function allows you to enter and store contact details for your installer or repair service, making it easy to recall them when needed.

- Tap to enter your dealer name.
- Tap to enter your installer name.
- Tap to enter the contact number.
- Tap the phone icon (?) to make a call to your dealer's/installer's contact number, if operated by your mobile phone.
[Note] Dealer contact information will be stored in the WLAN Adapter. It is only possible to edit the Dealer Contact details when connected via "In-Home" (At home) mode.

9.5. License agreement
Displays the License agreement for the app.
9.6. Application version
Displays the version of the app.
