Operating Instructions
A. Jug Blender Operation
- Make sure the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet and the knob is in "O" (Off) position.
- Blender Assembly:
- Place the glass jug upside down on a flat surface. Insert the blade assembly into the glass jug and lock by turning it clockwise until tight. To release, turn anti-clockwise.
- Reposition the glass jug upright. Wrap sealing ring 1 around the lid and place it onto the glass jug. Fit the cap into the lid by aligning its small projection with the slots in the lid, and turn the cap clockwise until tight.
- Place the assembled glass jug onto the motor unit by aligning the strip on the jug bottom with the corresponding part on the motor unit.
Caution: The glass jug and blending blade are now secured. To prevent damage, do not try to twist the glass jug and blending blade onto the motor unit.
Diagram Description: Figure 1 shows the blade assembly being inserted into the jug. Figure 2 shows the lid and cap being assembled. Figure 3 shows the assembled jug being placed onto the motor unit.
- Ensure the glass jug is in position tightly and the speed selector is at "O" position. Then plug into the power outlet and set the speed selector to your desired setting.
Note: Make sure the lid is placed in position completely before operating, and never open the lid during operation.
Blender Operation
- Peel or core fruit or vegetables and cut them into small pieces.
- Place the food to be blended into the jug (See Figure 4). Usually, a certain amount of purified water should be added to facilitate smooth blending. The proportion of food to water is typically 2:3. The amount of mixture should not exceed the MAX level indicated on the jug.
- If you want to add ingredients while the blender is operating, remove the cap and add through the lid opening (See Figure 5).
Diagram Description: Figure 4 shows food being added to the jug before blending. Figure 5 shows ingredients being added through the lid opening during blending.
RECIPE EXAMPLE
FOOD TYPE | SIZE | WEIGHT | SPEED |
---|---|---|---|
Carrot (apple, pear etc.) | Cut into 15mm x 15mm x 15mm | Carrot: 600g Water: 900g | 5 speed |
Ice crush | 25mm x 25mm x 25mm | 100g | Ice crush / clean |
Note: Never use hot liquid or run the appliance empty.
- Put the lid on the jug. Be sure the cap is in place.
- Plug the power cord into a standard wall outlet.
- Choose the appropriate speed setting for operation.
- For quick or delicate blending tasks, turn the speed selector to "P" (Pulse) position and hold for a few seconds, then release. The selector will reset to "O" position automatically. Operate several times until the desired consistency is obtained.
- When crushing ice or hard food, keep one hand firmly on the lid.
- When the desired consistency is obtained, turn the speed selector to "O" position.
Note:
- For each use, the consecutive operation time should not exceed 2 minutes. A minimum 10-minute rest time must be maintained between two continuous cycles to allow the unit to cool to room temperature before performing the next operation cycle.
- If you want to stop the appliance during operation, turn the speed selector to "O" position anytime.
- Turn the jug anti-clockwise and remove it from the motor unit. Carefully take down the lid, then pour and serve.
Important Operating Tips
- For best circulation of food that is to be blended with some liquid, pour the liquid into the jug first, then add solids.
- Some tasks that cannot be performed efficiently with a blender include: beating egg whites, whipping cream, mashing potatoes, grinding meat, mixing dough, and extracting juice from fruit and vegetables.
- The following items should never be placed in the jug as they may cause damage: bones, large pieces of solid, frozen food, or tough foods such as turnips.
- To crush ice, add up to 6 ice cubes. If more ice is needed, remove the cap and add cubes one by one through the lid opening.
B. Grinder Attachment Operation
- Place the motor unit on a flat horizontal surface and ensure it is unplugged.
- Turn the grinder bowl upside down and carefully unscrew the grinder blade assembly (See Figure 6).
- Fill the grinder bowl with desired ingredients, but do not fill more than half full. Screw the grinder blade assembly tightly onto the bowl (See Figure 7).
- Turn the grinder the right way up and lock it into place on the motor unit by turning clockwise (See Figure 8). To release the grinder, turn it in an anti-clockwise direction.
Note: There is a safety interlock device at the bottom of the grinder; if the grinder is not assembled correctly, it will not operate.
- Ensure the speed selector is at "O" position.
- Plug the appliance into a power outlet and select the desired speed setting.
- When the ingredients have been ground to the desired consistency, turn the speed selector to "O" position.
- Disconnect from the power outlet once finished. Disassemble the grinder attachment from the motor unit (See Figure 9). Keep the grinding bowl downward and unscrew the blade assembly by turning anti-clockwise, then empty the grinding bowl and serve.
- Do not run the appliance for more than 2 minutes at a time. Wait until the unit has cooled to room temperature before performing the next operation cycle.
Diagram Description: Figure 6 shows unscrewing the grinder blade assembly. Figure 7 shows filling the grinder bowl and screwing on the blade assembly. Figure 8 shows locking the grinder onto the motor unit. Figure 9 shows disassembling the grinder from the motor unit.
Care And Cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance from the wall outlet before cleaning.
- Whenever possible, rinse the jug / grinder bowl unit immediately after processing to make clean-up easier.
- Quick cleaning method: Half fill the jug / grinder bowl with warm water and a small amount of detergent. Turn to "P" function and hold for 1-2 seconds, then release. Repeat 3-4 times. Then remove the jug and rinse it under running water.
- Do not fill the glass jug / grinder bowl with boiling water.
- Wash the cap, plastic lid, glass jug, grinder bowl and blade in warm soapy water. Rinse under running water and dry thoroughly. Never use rough scouring pads or abrasive cleaners on any plastic or metal parts, as the surface may be damaged.
- For complete cleaning, you can put the cap, plastic lid, glass jug, grinder bowl, and sealing ring into the dishwasher for cleaning; they are dishwasher-safe components, but the temperature setting shall not exceed 65°C.
- Never immerse the motor unit or power cord in water. Clean the outside with a damp cloth and wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
Caution: Use extreme care when handling the blender blade. Do not touch blades with your fingers. The blades are very sharp and can cause injury if touched.
