1. NMP Connection for Divisible Classroom
This section details the network media player (NMP) connection for setting up a divisible classroom.
1.1. One Primary Classroom & One Secondary Classroom
Install one set of NMP and Touch Panel in the primary and secondary classrooms, ensuring the Touch Panel is powered on and connected to the network. Connect displays and speakers to each NMP. Ensure that "HDMI OUT C" and "Audio OUT" on the Primary NMP, and "HDMI IN 3" and "Audio IN 2" on the Secondary NMP are kept spare for the Divisible Classroom connection, as depicted in Figure 1.1-1.

1.2. One Primary Classroom & Multiple Secondary Classrooms
Install NMPs and Touch Panels as described in section 1.1. Connect displays and speakers to each NMP. Ensure "HDMI OUT C" and "Audio OUT" on the primary NMP, and "HDMI IN 3" and "Audio IN 2" on the secondary NMPs are spare for the Divisible Classroom connection. For multiple secondary rooms, prepare HDMI splitters & extenders and audio splitters & extenders for AV distribution, as shown in Figure 1.2-1.

3.5. Testing of Divisible Classroom Mode
Ensure the installation is correct and the input source is connected for testing. During testing, verify the network connection between the primary and secondary rooms and confirm the primary NMP successfully switches to the HDMI OUT C (as shown in Figure 3.5-1). After successful detection, proceed to the next page (Figure 3.5-2) to confirm audio and video synchronization in the secondary room.
If testing fails, review the HDMI and Audio interface connections or click the FAQ icon ❓ for common problems. If issues persist, contact the local agent or manufacturer at info@qxnetech.com (as shown in Figures 3.5-3, 3.5-4).

4.2. Connection diagram between Primary NMP and Secondary NMP
Diagrams show the rear panels of the Primary NMP and Secondary NMP with various ports. The connection tips are as follows:
- Primary NMP's HDMI OUT C connects to Secondary NMP's HDMI IN 3.
- Primary NMP's AUDIO OUT connects to Secondary NMP's AUDIO IN 2.
- The Door sensor connects to the Secondary NMP's "LOCK" port.
4.3. Door Sensor connection
4.3-1 Connect "NO" pins to Secondary NMP
Connect the pair of "NO" (Normal Open) pins from the door sensor to the '-' and 'D' pins on the NMP's "LOCK" port. Polarity does not need to be differentiated.
Logic:
- Triggered status ("-" and "D" in short circuit): Enters Divisible Classroom Mode.
- Not triggered status ("-" and "D" in open circuit): Quits Divisible Classroom Mode.
4.3-2 Connect "NC" pins to Secondary NMP
Connect the pair of "NC" (Normal Close) pins from the door sensor to the '-' and 'D' pins on the NMP's "LOCK" port. Polarity does not need to be differentiated.
Logic:
- Triggered status ("-" and "D" in open circuit): Quits Divisible Classroom Mode.
- Not triggered status ("-" and "D" in short circuit): Enters Divisible Classroom Mode.
Summary of Sensor Connections and Modes:
Sensor Connection | Sensor Status | Status of "-" and "D" pins on NMP | Into Divisible Classroom Mode |
---|---|---|---|
NO (normal open) pins to NMP | unfolded | In open circuit | No |
NO (normal open) pins to NMP | folded | In short circuit | Yes |
NC (normal close) pins to NMP | unfolded | In short circuit | Yes |
NC (normal close) pins to NMP | folded | In open circuit | No |
Note: When exiting Divisible Classroom Mode, both Primary and Secondary NMPs function as independent systems. When entering Divisible Classroom Mode, the Primary NMP controls the Secondary NMP, locking its touch panel. Display and sound in the Secondary NMP will mirror the Primary classroom.
Important: The door sensor must be connected to the Secondary NMP and be in a triggered status before the NMP is powered on. This ensures the NMP is detected as a Secondary unit.
