Introduction
This battery pack/charger is intended for residential homeowners. Charger Models 88602, 88605, and 88610 are designed for Toro Flex-Force lithium-ion battery pack Models 88620, 88625, 88640, 88650, 88660, and 88675. Using these products for unintended purposes can be dangerous. Battery pack Models 88620 through 88675 are designed for use in most Flex-Force Power System™ products. Read this manual carefully for safe operation and maintenance.

Safety
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS: This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for battery pack Models 88620-88675 and charger Models 88602, 88605, and 88610.
- Before using the battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery pack, and product.
- CAUTION: To reduce injury risk, charge battery pack Models 88620-88675 only with Toro charger Models 88602, 88605, or 88610. Other brands may burst, causing injury and damage.
- WARNING: Plugging the charger into a non-120V outlet can cause fire or electric shock. Use an adapter plug if necessary for a different outlet style.
- CAUTION: A mistreated battery pack may present a fire or chemical burn risk. Do not disassemble, heat above 68°C (154°F), or incinerate. Replace only with genuine Toro battery packs. Keep out of reach of children.
- These devices comply with FCC Part 15 rules, subject to conditions of non-interference and acceptance of received interference.

Training
- Only responsible, trained, and capable individuals should operate or service this device.
- Do not allow children to use or play with the battery pack or charger; local regulations may apply.
Preparation
- Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs to avoid injury or fire risk.
- Do not use damaged or modified battery packs or chargers, as they may exhibit unpredictable behavior.
- If the charger supply cord is damaged, contact an Authorized Service Dealer.
Operation
- Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
- Charge battery packs only with the specified Toro charger.
- Charge in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not expose battery packs or chargers to fire or temperatures above 100°C (212°F).
- Follow all charging instructions and do not charge outside the specified temperature range to avoid damage and fire risk.
- Under abusive conditions, battery packs may eject liquid. Avoid contact. Flush with water if contact occurs. Seek medical help if liquid contacts eyes.
Maintenance and Storage
Maintenance
Maintenance and servicing are not required under normal conditions. Clean surfaces with a dry cloth. Do not disassemble; contact an Authorized Service Dealer if damaged.
Storage
Store the tool, battery pack, and charger within the appropriate temperature ranges (refer to Specifications). For off-season storage, charge the battery until 2 or 3 LED indicators are green; do not store fully charged or fully depleted. When ready to use again, charge until the charger's left indicator is green or all 4 battery indicators are green.
- Disconnect from power supply before checking for damage.
- Clean all foreign material.
- Do not store the charger with the battery pack installed.
- Store out of reach of children.
- Keep away from corrosive agents (garden chemicals, de-icing salts).
- Do not store battery packs outside or in vehicles to avoid injury risk.
- Store in an enclosed, clean, dry area.
Preparing the Battery Pack for Recycling
Upon removal, cover battery pack terminals with heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble.
Lithium-ion battery packs labeled with the Call2Recycle seal can be recycled at participating retailers or facilities in the US and Canada. Call 1-800-822-8837 or visit www.call2recycle.org. For locations outside the US/Canada, contact your local municipality or Toro distributor.

Troubleshooting
Perform only the steps described. Further work requires an authorized service center.

Appropriate Temperature Ranges
- Charge battery pack at: 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F)*
- Use battery pack at: -30°C (-22°F) to 49°C (120°F)
- Store battery pack/charger at: 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F)*
*Charging time will increase if you do not charge the battery within this range.
Store the tool, battery pack, and battery charger in an enclosed clean, dry area.
