Prior to Using for the First Time
Fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid prevents water spots and improves drying. Use liquid rinse aids. The dispenser is inside the door. Fill until the level indicator turns completely black. The container volume is about 110ml.
Function of the Rinse Aid
Rinse aid is added during the final rinse for thorough rinsing and spot/streak-free drying.
WARNING! Use only branded rinse aid. Do not use cleaning agents or liquid detergent, as this will damage the appliance.
When to refill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
If no warning light is present, check the optical level indicator "C" next to the cap. As rinse aid diminishes, the dark dot size decreases. Never let it fall below 1/4 full.
Rinse Aid Level Indicator:

C (Rinse-Aid indicator)
How to fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
- To open, turn the cap to the "open" (left) arrow and lift.
- Pour rinse aid carefully, avoiding overfilling.
- Replace the cap by aligning with the "open" arrow and turning to the closed (right) arrow.
Attention: Be careful not to overfill, as this can cause over-sudsing. Wipe spills with a damp cloth. Replace the cap before closing the door.
ATTENTION! Clean up any spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to avoid excess foaming.
Adjusting the Rinse Aid Dispenser
The dispenser has six or four settings. Start with "4". If spots or poor drying occur, increase the setting (e.g., to "5"). Adjust higher if needed until dishes are spot-free. Recommended setting is "4".
NOTE: Increase dose for water drops or lime spots. Reduce dose for sticky whitish stains or bluish film on glassware.
Adjust lever (Rinse): A dial with settings 1 to 6 (MAX).
Detergents
Detergents contain chemicals to remove dirt. Most commercial quality detergents are suitable.
Types of Detergents:
- With phosphate and chlorine
- With phosphate and without chlorine
- Without phosphate and without chlorine
New powdered detergents are often phosphate-free. For hard water (above 6 °dH), use salt even with phosphate-free detergents. Without phosphate, white spots may appear on dishes. Add more detergent for better results. Detergents without chlorine offer minimal bleaching; strong/coloured spots may require a higher temperature program.
Concentrated Detergent
Types:
- Conventional, alkaline detergents with caustic components.
- Low alkaline concentrated detergents with natural enzymes.
Using "normal" programs with concentrated detergents reduces pollution and is good for dishes, as programs are matched to enzyme properties.
Detergent Tablets
Tablets dissolve at different speeds. Use long programs to ensure complete dissolution and cleaning power.
Detergent Dispenser
Refill before each wash cycle. Uses less detergent than conventional dishwashers. Generally, one tablespoon is sufficient for a normal load. Add detergent just before starting, or it may become damp and not dissolve properly.
Adding detergent to Dishwasher
- If the lid is closed, press the release button; it will spring open.
- Always add detergent just before starting the wash cycle.
- Only use branded detergent for dishwashers.
NOTE: Information on detergent amounts for programs is on Page 19. Soiling levels and water hardness can affect results. Observe manufacturer recommendations on detergent packaging.
