The box contains the Balance Keyboard Wireless, a wireless receiver (dongle), a USB extender cable, two AAA batteries, and the user guide.

* The Fn key toggles between function [1-12] and media modes. By default, the media keys are active.
** The dongle is inserted in the extender cable on delivery.
*** Pull the tab from the battery compartment to turn on the keyboard for the first time.
The keyboard features dedicated keys for media control, application functions, and interface functions. The Fn key allows switching between standard function keys (F1-F12) and media modes. The underside of the keyboard includes adjustable risers, a battery compartment, and the power button.
Start Using Your Keyboard
- Pull the tab from the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Insert the extender cable with the dongle into your computer's USB port.
Should you lose the connection, please see page 6 for pairing instructions.
The initial setup involves removing a battery tab and connecting the wireless dongle via the provided USB extender cable.
Keyboard Tilt
The adjustable legs on the Balance Keyboard offer three tilt options:
- Positive tilt
- Neutral tilt
- Negative tilt
These tilt options allow users to adjust the keyboard's angle for ergonomic comfort.
Keyboard Shortcuts - Power Button
The power button turns the Balance Keyboard ON/OFF. When powering ON, the LEDs on the left side of the keyboard flash from BOTTOM to TOP. When powering OFF, the LEDs flash from TOP to BOTTOM. Pressing other keys will not power the keyboard ON; only the power button can reactivate it.
Keyboard Shortcuts - PC Mode & Mac Mode
The Balance Keyboard is compatible with both PC and Mac operating systems. You can toggle between modes as follows:
Mac Mode
To enable Mac mode, hold the Fn key and the Caps Lock key, then press and release the M key.
PC Mode
To enable PC mode, hold the Fn key and the Caps Lock key, then press and release the W key.
Keyboard Shortcuts - Pairing Mode
Pressing Ctrl + Power buttons simultaneously initiates pairing mode and clears any existing dongle connections. If your keyboard and dongle become unpaired, remove the extender cable from the computer, reinsert it into the USB port, then hold the Control key and press the Power button once to re-pair. For optimal pairing, hold the Power button close to the wireless receiver.
Keyboard Shortcuts - Function
The Fn + Power buttons toggle between function mode (F1-F12) and media mode. By default, the keyboard operates in function mode OFF, with media keys active. To activate function mode, press the Fn key. To set function mode as the default ON state, press and hold the Fn key, then press the Power button once.

Warranty
If there is a functional defect due to faulty manufacturing, Contour Design will replace the product. This warranty does not cover damage that results from misuse of the product.
