(See Figure 1 for visual representation)
Installation on a Wall (Main Unit Only)
Attach the unit to the optional mounting bracket (OP-73880), mount them together, and secure with two M3 screws as shown in Figure 2.
Connecting Fiber Unit
- Open the dust cover in the direction of arrow 1.
- Move down the fiber lock lever in the direction of arrow 2.
- Insert a fiber unit into the fiber insertion holes to a length of the fiber insertion sign (approximately 14 mm).
- Move down the fiber lock lever in the direction of arrow 4.
Note:
- If a thin fiber unit is used, an adapter provided with the thin fiber unit is required. Ensure the correct adapter is used for proper detection.
- For coaxial reflective type fiber units, connect the single-core fiber to the transmitter and the multiple-core fiber to the receiver.
Fiber Insertion Sign: Approximately 14 mm.
Adapters: Adapter A (OP-26500) for Φ1.3mm, Adapter B (OP-26501) for Φ1.0mm.
Included Accessories: Instruction Manual (1pc), Fiber cutter (1pc).
Hints on Correct Use
- Warning: This product is used to detect targets. Do not apply to safety circuits for human protection.
- Warning: This product is not explosion-proof. Do not use in places with flammable gas, liquid, or dust.
- Warning: This product is a DC power supply type. Do not apply AC power.
- Do not wire the amplifier line along with power lines or high-tension lines to prevent malfunction or damage due to noise.
- When using a switching regulator, ground the frame ground terminal and ground terminal.
- Do not use outdoors or in places where extraneous light directly enters the light-receiving surface.
- Individual dispersion of characteristics and fiber unit models may result in variations in maximum sensing distance or displayed values.
- If the sensor is used in S-APC mode for a long time, the LED indicators may be heavily loaded. The sensor will automatically switch to ACC mode, displaying "END APC". Continuous use is possible, but replace the sensor if high precision detection is required.

Connecting Multiple Amplifiers
Up to 16 sub-units can be connected to one main unit.
Warning: Mount on DIN rail and install on metal sheeting when connecting multiple amplifiers or mounting main units together.
Note:
- Multiple connections cannot be made to equipment other than the FS-N10 series.
- Turn the power off before connecting multiple sub-units.
- Do not touch the expansion connector with bare hands.
- Remove the protection covers of the main unit and sub unit(s).
- Install the amplifiers one by one on the DIN rail.
- Engage the two claws of the sub unit with the recesses on the main unit side until a click is heard.
- Attach the end units (option: OP-26751) to both ends of the connected amplifiers.
- Sandwich the amplifiers between the end units and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
(See Figure for visual representation of connecting multiple amplifiers)

Cautions for Using a Fiber Cutter
- Failure to heed these cautions could reduce the detection range.
- Use a gray fiber cutter (OP-87098) for cutting fiber units for the FS-N10 series.
- Stopping the blade midway can cause a bad cut plane, reducing detection range.
- Do not use the same hole twice.
