Nokia 1010 SIM Card Replacement

Introduction

If you are looking to add more memory to your Nokia 1010, this guide will show you how to access your SIM Card slot to add a SIM Card. This guide can also help you to find out where your SIM Card slot is if you want to take the SIM card out to transport your data on your SIM card somewhere else.

Tools Required:

iFixit Opening Tools (1)

Step 1 — Battery

Using your thumbs, press and slide down the back cover of the Nokia 1010.

Step 2

Insert the prying tool in the notch above the battery.

A blue prying tool is being inserted into a small notch located above the battery compartment on the Nokia 1010.

Once the prying tool is inserted, lift up the battery.

The prying tool is used to lift the battery out of its compartment.

Step 3 — SIM Card

Using the prying tool, pull back the latch of the SIM Card holder.

A prying tool is used to push a small latch or lever on the SIM card holder.

The SIM card is shown partially ejected from its holder.

Step 4

With your finger, remove the SIM card.

A finger is shown gently pushing or lifting the SIM card out of its slot after the latch has been released. The SIM card is partially removed from the phone.

At this point the SIM card has nothing holding it in and the phone can be turned over allowing the SIM card to fall out.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
